"Peace of Eden is a nature lovers paradise and a totally vegan lodge. They are nestled in a lovely forested area near Knysna on the Garden Route with woodland walks, a small lake and monkeys and other wildlife on the property. I had lovely chats with Jen, Howard and Jess who run the place and live an eco life in a totally inspiring way. They are very welcoming in every way and happy to share their love of nature as well as wonderful vegan cooking ideas. The dinners are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. These must be booked in advance and other than telling them what allergies and aversions you have the meals are a surprise as they use seasonal produce and much that is grown in their own garden and the results are a treat for the senses. It's especially wonderful that all Lodge bookings are responded to with a reminder that there is a vegan ethos at Peace of Eden and asking self catering guests to support this and not bring meat onto the property. It's not often I get the chance to stay in a totally vegan place and I'm so happy I found Peace of Eden. Altogether a relaxing place to stay with an unhurried and peaceful vibe."

"We randomly came upon this place because the restaurant we were looking for was already closed at 9:30 pm on Sunday despite being marked as open on Google Maps! . We are so glad we did! The restaurant is run by a very nice family and we were immediately greeted by the son who instantly made us feel extremely welcome, despite coming in so late on a Sunday. We got the only open table in the place always a good sign and were quickly greeted by the daughter in her absolutely enchanting South African accent to us as Americans . The beer and water came quickly, the spring rolls were crispy on the outside, warm and delicious on the inside. Our noodles and stir fries tasted outstanding the veggies were the perfect texture, not too hard, not too soft. We also had an avocado California Roll which didn't disappoint to be fair, not the absolute best sushi I've had in the world, but still very yummy . All in all an outstanding experience and then the best part: the check! Our bill came to under 500 Rand for 3 people with drinks, starters and mains! We left 600 Rand and left with leftovers having enjoyed an excellent meal. Whenever we're in Knystna, we'll be sure to eat here."

"The service was great and the meat eaters among us enjoyed the food. The chefs are well equiped to serve quality meat. I don't recommend going here if you are vegetarian. They have two options of which both are mediocre at best. The pasta is plain, there is no sauce and the vegetarian delight are randon small snacks that don't work well flavor wise together."

"Beautiful, tranquil surroundings. Only had toasted sandwiches...took a while to get. Coffee was nice. So were the cinnamon sugar pancakes. They sell a variety of homemade food items other snacks."

"We were in the lakeside lodge and spa, which also had a restaurant that was prepared for breakfast and lunch (which ends at 17 o'clock) we tried the lunch menu that was fantastically prepared with love, which was obvious in the taste. to the breakfast we have fed in the pool area and for lunch at the outside with a view of the lake. the menu is small, but eating is great. we tried the prawn tempura, kalamari, chicken liver, and fried hake."
