"We checked in and decided to eat local in the restaurant as the kids were hungry. We were surprised at how good the food was. Our tuna tartare was supreme and so was the creamy vegetable soup which was accompanied by delicious freshly baked breads. We took the risotto for main and topped it off with chocolate molten cake with ice cream for dessert. Great food and very decent prices! Well worth a visit as the views are also incredible overlooking the Douro valley."

"We were a bit reluctant at first since there was only one car in the parking lot and it does not look like a restaurant when you first walk in. Fortunately, we were soon met by Antonio who guided us to a small dining area with a great view of the city below. We were never presented a menu, but Antonio would list the short list of items available. Everything we ordered was relatively simple, but delicious. Throughout the meal, Antonio would stop by and talk to check on us and to provide more information on the Casa da Real Companhia, but not so much that it was distracting or overbearing. After the meal, he invited us to the terrace where he pointed out many of the sights in Lamego and made recommendations on what to see while we were there. It was a great experience overall, and surprisingly inexpensive!"

"I had a remarkable meal at this lovely restaurant located within the Six Senses Douro Valley Resort! From the moment I set foot on the premises, I was greeted warmly and treated very kindly! The decor and ambiance is both modern and traditional in keeping in accordance with the surrounding river valley. It feels very endemic to the area. Everything from the bread to the dessert are painstakingly prepared and it shows in the presentation and delectable flavor. I absolutely loved the traditional Portuguese Cozido, which is totally shareable, as well as the tender roasted lamb dish. The beet mousse dessert was also well worth indulging in. I’d like to note that all servers were beyond professional and amicable. I commend all of them for that. For being the best resort in Europe, they make you feel at ease I had a remarkable meal at this lovely restaurant located within the Six Senses Douro Valley Resort! This restaurant is truly an obligatory stop while on your exploration of the Douro Valley. I’d love to return!"

"Really nice place for quick breakfast in the main square right by the famous stairs. Nice gentleman inside working spoke good English. He understood exactly what we wanted. Very nice inside, clean, lots to choose from. Pastries, coffee etc. We sat outside, on a Saturday morning was nice and quiet."
