"Sails has always been one of our go to restaurants especially for a fine dining, special occasion lunch or dinner. Last night was disappointing as it seems to have lost its passion and decadence which it once had. I totally get staff shortages etc but...what was once a sleek professional team who were passionate and made it a sense of occasion are now staff just doing their job. My husbands water glass had a chip in it and upon informing the staff member, she took the glass away without any apology and replaced it with a red hot glass straight out of the dishwasher and I mean red hot!! Our specific waitress did make an apology to us regarding this matter but it should not have happened, It’s just a lack of training, I know. Our meals were nice but nothing that would make me rush back to have, sadly. We started with the scallops which were the tiniest scallops that I have ever seen and at $12 for one scallop I found that was offensive. The attitude was that there was nothing that they can do about it!!! Bad attitude, but to their credit upon my complaint they did remedy this my complaint. The rest of our meal was nice. It is also worth mentioning that at last they have put toilets in just outside the restaurant door instead of the hike you used to have to make down stairs and a long walk away, excellent! Would I go back??? Maybe but it wouldn’t be my first choice. Sails, you have lost your soul and passion."

"Today horrified to hear that the manager judges a young woman because he quietly showed that his kovid safe entry / exit signage was contradictory. not only did he cried out loud “see, see, it says OUT” and “I am the manager here and it says OUT” but he typed them...Solder I can’t fathom, how screaming and physically typing a customer is aimed at Kovid security, let alone how intimidating and humiliating it would have been for a petite young customer to be attacked and by a person."
