"Our party of four had a reservation for 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday night. We entered on time and only 2 other tables were occupied. We were told we could sit anywhere, so we chose a table close to the bar area. Our waitress brought menus and we ordered our food and drinks. (Our waitress forgot to ask us how spiccy we wanted our food — which was not an issue because we do like it spicy, but could have been an issue if someone wanted it to be mild. Our plate of papadum was brought very quickly. This was followed within 10 minutes by all the rest of our food dishes, which were fairly generous portions. The food was truly excellent. We have dined at many Indian restaurants over the years, both in Canada and in India, and the food here compared well with the best of them. However, there were many problems with the service. Our drinks did not arrive until well after the food arrived, and only after we repeatedly reminded our waitress that we were waiting for the drinks. Also, the water glasses were very small, and we finally had to each ask for a large glass of ice with water, instead of the tiny metal glasses that were initially provided. The waitress seemed as if she was not very experienced at waiting on tables, since she was reaching in front of us across the table to take away our plates, rather than standing behind each person to pick up the finished plates. There were at least 25 takeout or delivery orders that were picked up while we were there for our 2-hour meal, and no other dine-in customers arrived — so while the food is excellent, it appears that this restaurant is more suited to take-out than dine-in."

"Managed to get in before Happy Hour ended. A bit if an older establishment, wooden benches outside and size us relatively small. There were a few screens to watch. Enjoyed my $4 highball but a tall seems to be 4.50. The daughter had the $6.95 Bellini which se days was okay. However we did enjoy the $5 appies: tacos and potato skins. The tacos had good floor and were quite large. The potato skins also had good flavour and also had deep fried crunchy parts, much like potato chips....very good. Our server was good but liked to spend time with regulars."

"We’ve eaten at Lobby many times over the last probably 8 years. One of my good friends worked at it for many years which is how it started. They have a dedicated fryer, which is awesome as they make delicious Parmesan truffle fries. Most of the menu is or can be done gluten free. Even the macarons on the crème brûlée are gf. Staff is always knowledgeable and will double check with the kitchen. I know the management and kitchen staff have changed a few times but fortunately the food has remained delicious, gf, and minimal changes to the menu."

"Rainy day soups; cuddle up coffees & tasty sandwiches; friendly faces. Lots of smiles. Nice place to cozy up with a good read, and/or take advantage of their free WIFI. I usually hike the Lynn Headwaters trail, then pop in EOTL afterwards for a cup of soup or snack. I like the samosa's; nice selection of chicken, veggie and/or ground beef. They also sell fruit, and pies, juices, pop, canned goodies; as well as artisan crafts. Very quaint. lots of charm."

"I love stopping by the coffee bun everytime I'm at lonsdale quay, as it is pretty easy to find and never gets old (who doesn't love carbs? . Ive tried a few flavours and for the most part all have been delicious, theres something special about the soft fluffy inside and slightly crumbly coffee cake like exterior. Definitely a must try, however it does get busy and they are often sold out of a lot of flavours when I'm there so maybe try going earlier when it just opens."
