"It is Friday, midday and very hot despite september. If you drive from the green city strictly to the south, you will get to the village within a few kilometers, whose names only wein lovers will think of a wein rather than a land map. so lures us today kallstadt, of course very special, because I can offer at the heat of my loved ones an Egyptian short holiday without long flight times – that weingut am nil with its somewhat hidden location due to narrow valleys, I must come with my French car before a park destination of this weingut offers with the smallest way. to follow them proves to be advisable and is rewarded with space without ending before a monumental building. a short walk through a person gässlein (always on the wall long – then we learn from a heart in a cooking jacket that would only be open from 16:00. but nothing with Egypt. with the rear hoftor coming from the nil, there is a much wider exit than the narrow leading gasse (honi soit qui mal y pense , through which even travel buses torture. fortunately, the exit leads directly to the entrance of the hotel restaurants “Kallstadter Hof”, which will become our midday destination. from the parking lot via a few steps on and off we pass the reception to the restaurant where a young lady greets us at the courts friendly and welcomes to the friendly question of speis, drank and possible card payment cheerfully. two places in the shaded and perhaps outside would be our desire – it leads us over the small fully-sonned winter garden a few steps down into the inside courtyard, shaded, wee overranked, loungesessel and marbled, fine with damask, glasses, fabric napkins and beautiful cutlery covered. all two tables are already reserved, so we are offered a space on a table covered for 4 people with 6 seats from two marble tables pushed together. two menus and a wine card are presented to us by the young lady and additionally we learn that today's day offer is seahechtfilet with kartoffel gurkensalat (as we see later, 8,90€ on the skin fried, looks delicious. the chef of the chef of the chef of the chef of the rindercarpaccio (10,90) as aperitif we begin with a splashy giant by buhl brut (4.90€ 0.1l of the more than twice as expensive champagne, which we recently gone in Alsace (unfortunately not imagineable here in gg, although just 500m behind the border plays so loosely on the wall that it is a true joy of the sea. There is a peterstal sprudel medium (0.75l 4.25€ for me and my beloved will later order a quarter dry kallstädter Grauburgunder (2015 kallstadter kobnert, 5,50€ 0.25 – very powerful. I would have liked to try from the wine card, but the f appearance is more important to me, but I read here for the first time at the weepings offered the weeping “cremig”, but can not get any explanation on demand. The service works fast, efficient, friendly, two to three young ladies, a young man, who is more busy with cleaning up the next to be seen firm. the places fill themselves and yet neither hectic nor long waiting times. take directly after the place, still before the map and order we bring a basket with white bread and a tomatized butter in a small terrine and an empty bottle cooler to the table. – a splashy cool starter. short waiting time – then our dishes come to the table. the two crisp gambas in the speckmantel are deliciously dressed with the melon cubes and around a mountain of different leaf salads lies a wreath with fallen pfifferlingen. they were the first pfifferlings in a local living in mine, where no single sandgran crunched – deliciously seasoned, well roasted. the salat has a summer-lightly excellent dressing with smallest speck cubes is in itself tasted harmoniously – umami – I can only say. the mix is topp! we enjoy the salad, it is cleared and asked if it tasted and our lob will be passed on to the kitchen. I am curious how our main dishes will be, because a day-long meal is now served all around – that doesn’t just look good for the price, but simply remains in the presentation. after a pleasant waiting period the young man comes with our main dishes. on the teller with the leber, a mountain of fine-fried twill rings is quite visible, along with two large cams of kartoffel pureee. the teller of my wife radiates with small, long-drawn yellow risottoreis mountains above a tomatized light pink sawn soßenspiegel, on which the fish fillets fried on the skin lie. already visually a hi light. I can try it later – the risotto is spicy – seems almost like milky there would not be the fine saffron note, the sosty ingenious, the fish strongly seasoned, at the thin end a little too long, otherwise fried on the point. my main dish: calfsleber slices – excellent cut, very good portion, perfect and juicy fried without the something after cutting runs out. the brown reduced sauce fits well, the apple slices are probably short dry fried, inside nice soft full apple flavor. to be the crowned, fine tweepers – a dreamlike pleasure. who doesn’t like to live, but curious – who should try it here – I’ve found the dish in the last decades in no restaurant so skillfully – either it was slightly bloody after the cut, or there were small stretchy parts, or yet too long roasted even if I found it there (in the years humbled very well – here it was a piece far “better” – there was someone who loves to cook his job! the potato puree is good, no specialties. the dessert still stands out for my wife – so that she is not so lonely, I let the dessert card bring me. very nice think, I ask for the composition of the kallstadter hof – dessert variation, which probably represents a cross-section of this card. and further after a bourbon vanille eis with espresso, which would interest me as a ball with espresso bean chops – but not whether that was made like ice cream test or with espresso – and also the service card repeats this. the espresso is brought, then come for my better half the prosecco mousse nocke on the earthy carpaccio – poor earthy, so cut in thin slices leaving almost against the interesting mousses with all taste. for me the dessert is exactly what I wanted to avoid – icy coffee not with coffee but espresso. (5,50€ . Conclusion: smooth 5 after a kitchen trip – definitely again – price performance, offer, ware is excellent – beautiful ambiente, good service – my recommendation! 1. Postage: images – images are better when they are created in the head, the spikel drips in reading from the mouth angles – and images are overrated. as well as I had overvalued the battery life of my handy with the bite-on, and after four days without charger then – well, you know – pictures I find completely overrated... 2.Afternoon: a small restriction to ambiente directly opposite is the local pfarr church and so beautifully bell-powed for the quarter hours and then full hours is numbered, at our visit the glöckner has probably tried to play the drumsolo from 'in a gadda da vida ' by iron butterfly with three bells after in the small courtyard was not so pleasant but nothing for it."

"My friend and I always return to this restaurant when he visits him. andech's dark beer from the hustle as appetizer, followed by carving for him and bratwurst with sourd for me. we exchange a carving for a bratwurst. the meat is super from the neighboring metzger. I highly recommend it."
