"After a long time, approx. 1 year due to COVID. We finally decided to go for our anniversary dinner. We started out with apps. I had scallops that were great, my husband had the strawberry salad, also great.then came the main course. I had the...Tagliatelle pasta with butter poached lobster. The taste was great but the lobster was very tough. My husband had the filet mignonette with yummy sauce. An all time favourite. The steak was very small and fatty.the sauce not the same as it used to be. The sliver potatoes were thick And undercooked. Very disappointed. We passed on dessert. When the waitress came at the end of our meal we told her our dissatisfaction.the manager came and comped us for some of the food. I am very sad as this was our go to nice place to eat. We will be looking for a new place. Sad."

"We arrived early but without a reservation. Very small cozy restaurant, reservations a good idea, they cheerfully accommodated us, explained the menu, and then served the best steak ever with interesting and very flavorful sides. Very satisfying meal topped off with delicious truffles. I think we met the entire staff including the owner. Steaks are sourced from small farms in Manitoba."

"I have been a customer for a couple of years. Although not Celiac I do suffer with severe gluten intolerance problems. When I was told about Pear tree bakery I decided to check them out. They offer a range of locally made products including breads, pizzas, cookies and baking. Also they have some gluten free products on their shelves such as flours, etc...Pizza is very good...I usually buy the dough or frozen crust and top with my favourite toppings. My favourite item has to be the lemon tarts...I could eat a whole tray in one sitting if I didn't monitor ;)"

"Three of us went there for lunch for the first time. The shop is clean and bright and the staff are friendly. We went specifically for the gnocchi as it's a favourite but we were disappointed. The cost was $15 for one serving; although it was a good size it was a bit expensive. But we really didn't love the gnocchi. They were heavy and small and didn't have a pleasing taste. I would go back to try other pasta choices but I wouldn't recommend the gnocchi unfortunately."

"I loved this buffet with my heart when it was run by the name makers, herrn ling lee. Unfortunately after its passing the food quality has taken a big bath and the restaurant was only run by its business partner when ling ran...it could easily say that its eating was phenomenal, the best worth in the city. Not only a fine cook but a friendly and personable guy with his business partner are the dinge very different. my midday bear respectfully brought to attention a hair in the food he had eaten. the owner reacted by being rude and angry, I am disgusting to think that someone who could be so crassed and really horrible of a person actually had a part in the local police. one of the bitterest waitresses I've ever known worked here. good food and service especially the owner. I feel sick, just thinking about this place."

"So great to be able to sit outside and enjoy a delicious meal and nice bottle of wine. Although it took a little time to get waited ion service improved. Started with the humus crostini which needed more flavour and ordered the puttanesca and sausage rigatoni both very good. An extremely good olive oil caked topped off the dinner. Next time may try the pizza which smelled and looked very good."
