"We have visited here before and had better experience. Our server seemed absent minded, the food took a long time to come out despite not being busy, and the overall lack of cleanliness was very evident. There was a stuffed head loomung over the table...which was covered in masses of dust, as were the lap shades- absolutely disgusting. The food was pretty average. Will likely not be going back next time we're in town."

"Afternoon tea at the Pendray was exceptional! We’ve tried 3 different afternoon tea places in Victoria plus numerous afternoon teas back in Vancouver, and we felt that this was the best afternoon tea experience we have ever had. First you walk towards this beautiful mansion, which is an elegant family home and not tacky like Craigdarroch Castle. Then you walk into beautiful dark wood-paneled rooms with original stained glass windows. The tea rooms are so quaint, elegant, and natural. We felt like we were being transported back in time. I ordered the West Coast afternoon tea, and my partner ordered the Traditional tea. My favourite items were the baby shrimp sandwich and the earl grey mini scone. I did feel the white chocolate lavender scone was too sweet, as was the case with the macarons. Overall, we think the best afternoon tea food we’ve had was at Pointe Ellice, but as an experience as a whole, Pendray has been the most special. Note: there doesn’t seem to be AC in the tea rooms (it’s a heritage building after all) so I wouldn’t go on a really hot day."

"Make a reservation and go to Little Jumbo! Our evening was outstanding. Superb cocktails and wine. Attention to detail is beyond good. Our server was a true pro. Excellent food and wine knowledge. I had the tartar to start and the phenomenal Bison short ribs as my main. The burger was great as was the flat steak. The food is too good to share so be prepared to be envious! We will definitely be back. Go here if you get the chance!"

"What a great place. We arrived early for our dinner at the Q and enjoyed the bar for drinks. We had an excellent meal and the service was outstanding. We had a table for 9 and everyone had something different and all were excellent."
