"We visited the Alfred for a Sunday roast based on a recommendation. They are only serving food at the pub until Dec 3rd but everything about the food will be missed. The portion size with sides is brilliant and the service very friendly. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"This place is always welcoming, perfect for families and for individuals looking for a good coffee and a crazy ice cream indulgence. They have a great chalkboard that illustrates what is happening from a community events perspective. And they have a music night where you can bring what ever you like on vinyl and it gets a play. Ice cream is reasonably priced and you get a large amount for the cost too. Doodling supplies for the kids once they get bored and the teenagers play with the live Facebook like counter on the wall via their phones. Literally perfect :"

"Excellent Sunday lunch, booked online a couple of hours before and they were extremely efficient and accommodating. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked lamb and a tasty veggie option in chickpea and bean roast. Service was great as well. Would recommend."
