"The best bistro restaurant in Essen! The reception is very friendly and the place is always warm and cozy, very well decorated and full of delicious things and above all tasty. Isolde is a very very good chef and her caramel cheescake is unbelievable (Mrs Isolde, thank you for the recipe! . The best for breakfast with bread with cheese and prosciutto serrano and salami, yougurt with fruit and honey, orangejuice... Ciao ciao Pia"

"The dining room in eating is at a distance of one of the best restaurants that I have ever visited. whether jacobsmusks on red beete foam or dead by chocolate - the always changing card leaves no wishes open. the very attentive, but reluctant, staff offers a service that looks like it. the loving facility creates cozyness and a unique ambiente. in the summer a visit is worthwhile on the sunny outskirts. the dining room is not only a must-have in eating and nrw, but should not be missing on the best list of restaurants in Germany."

Excellent I find the idea with the changing weekly card, so you get a small change from the excellent stuff from the card! The service is very attentive and the nice staff takes care of all matters! The customer will try to fulfill all his wishes! And above all the wine tastes very good! We look forward to the discovery of the Spaniards and look forward to the delicacies in the future! The chef Patrick, is the soul of good food and Silvia, the boss of service is the heart! This is mainly seen in the tasteful furniture!"

"An exceptional adventure tour through the culinary arts of the star kitchen. Every gang a little work of art! We chose the 6 course menu with wine tasting. The size of the individual courses was very clear, but there was 2 x a greeting from the kitchen and excellent bread throughout the evening. The seating area is spacious and quiet, but we were very irritated about the narrowness in the entrance area and on the way to the seating area, where almost the entire staff is strolling and the bread is also cut and stored. Distance to corona times is almost impossible here. The mouth and nose protection of the operating personnel is of small size and actually consists only of a tiny piece of plastic, so that one should either speak of mouth or nose protection. There's a big depreciation for that. It can't be. The chefs in the open cooking area obviously have no mouth and nose protection, but also no separation, so that there is also a relative proximity to the remaining staff and also to the guests. P.S. The cook was supposed to be pampering, constantly pushing his fingers into his mouth."

"A few years ago, my girls and I came to pelayo. the tapas were always very good (although not very cheap) and also the service was perfect! for a while, it's not like that anymore. the service is inattentive. we were eating about 45 minutes at an empty bottle of wine and were not asked if we would like to drink. when the waiter fell down a fork; that can happen, but the fork was still on the floor when we were about. 45 minutes later have left the restaurant. the waiter was then noticeably upset about his drink money i.h. w. 3,80 eur. The tapas are no longer what they were. the octopus was unworn, the datteln in the speckmantel tastefully ok, but with 6.90 eur for four small dattels too expensive. there are alternatives in eating. I will go to this in the future."
