"I have visited the cafe on various occasions and have to say the food is always spot on!! The staff are extremely friendly. The only criticism i have is that on a few occasions i have visited the manager has had the same regulars in and she quite often talks quite loudly across the cafe over tables sometimes with some colourful language (altho not meant in a bad way and is just banter) it can be quite difficult to enjoy the food as it makes the atmosphere quite rowdy. Having said that this has only been on a few occasions and on the whole it is an extremely well run cafe. As per previous comments, covid measures are taken very seriously too."

"Sunday lunch short menus but something for every taste. started with the calamari cooked superbly served with a fresh rocket salad fresh dressing. Calamari itself was soft and melted in the mouth beneath a crunchy peppered batter. main course we had rooast beef, must say...not the usual carvery! roast potatoes crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, vegetables was cooked to perfection cauliflower cheese, creamed swede, roasted parsnip roasted carrots, brocolli and cabbage, cuts of beef very thick with stuffing ball and pigs in blanket well its nearly Christmas) topped with a huge light yorkshire pudding with lashings of thick gravy. the food came to us piping hot. staff were polite, pleasant and very attentive but not intrusive. Will definately be coming back and I will ask for the upstairs table with the view of the harbour, which the kind staff took us on a guided tour. Thank you for a memorable meal."

"Fantastic lunch in the most beautiful setting. Everything made fresh, friendly service and a comfortable light and airy café. So good that we returned for afternoon tea, managed to get the window seat on the first floor and devoured delicious cake and tea whilst taking in the view. Can't recommend it enough!, thank you for being so welcoming, we will return :"
