"On a recent trip to Bremen, I was eager to explore the local cuisine. However, being a vegetarian, and not speaking the language, I was limited. We stumbled upon a few Chinese restaurants near our hotel, all with similar menus. With no German speaking skills, I walked in and used my basic Mandarin to find the veggie options. As the waiter was so helpful, we decided to eat here.The food was delicious! Seriously, delicious. Having lived in China, I know the difference between a greasy take out and home cooking. This was the latter. I had an amazing veggie noodle soup, which reminded me on the night time street markets in China. Definitely not what I expected from a trip to a small German city. Although the local food I did try was delicious, it was nice to have a familiar comforting meal as a treat. Service was excellent and for the price we paid ( about £15 all together) the dinner was one of the best I have ever had. Worth a visit for an unusual and satisfying experience."
