"Two couples visited tonight. Our waitress was not happy that we wanted to change our thoughts about sitting outside and coming in, as it became cold. It wasn't better. My fish tacos were almost muddy, with little taste. Salad was fine. My wife said the fish and chips were good. Not even did I offer water or refill my drink. The waitress spent a fair time on the phone that was annoying. Although it was not busy, the service was still poor. I wouldn't go back for a while... there are better choices in Aylmer."

"Portugalos is fantastic and very authentic. Honestly, it’s better than many restaurants in Portugal. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. I had the meat variety dish and it was fantastic. The Portugalo coffee is so tasty. Like any good Portuguese restaurant, they have have olives for the table, but you do have to ask. The atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. The washrooms are well maintained and clean. Very upscale and very affordable. I will definitely be coming back."

"Great service, good food and excellent beers! I'm not a big beer drinker but I really liked the Pop Citron - I was expecting a Shandy-type beer but it was nicely sour, instead of overly sweet. We were on the roof patio which had great ambiance."

"Honestly so close to a 5 stars restaurant, that i will give it 5 stars without any regrets! Lovely old style retro ambiance, polite and professional staff, the owner is right there usually and always making sure you will love your experience, the food is simply delicious and always a new discovery and the prices are fair.
