"This was my go to place when I was a student at VIU. The staff and the mexican chef are very polite. They have a wide array of Authentic Mexican food. The prawns tacos and the nachos platter with chorizo has levels to it."

"Vegan Option: Yes<br/ <br/ I eat here a lot because they've got lots of vegetarian options and are vegan friendly, but honestly, the food is just OK. They get points for their salsa, which is great, but the rice and beans etc usually lacks spice. It's also very expensive for what I would consider to be fast-food quality food. I found no difference between my del jardin burrito at the restaurant and the one at the fast food location. They could really use some more spice options and perhaps try making their food a little more affordable, after all, how much is some rice and beans really worth? It's one of the cheapest foods out there..."

"We wandered in here for lunch on a cool and windy day. My friend had a pulled pork burger and I had a spicy chicken sushi roll. Meals were beautifully presented and food very tasty. The servers were bright and friendly. A great place for a quick and tasty lunch."

"The Hostess helped us right away, sat us in a booth and told us the specials. It was a good start. She told us our server would be with us shortly. This was not true. There were 4 servers wandering around and maybe 5 tables with people in the restaurant. As we were looking at every server that walked past us there seemed to be some discussion as to who was looking after our table. A server finally came and took our drink order and we let her know we were ready to order our meals as well. She spoke so quickly and abruptly that she was hard to understand. My 12 year old son got confused with the meat and bread options she was giving for his brunch so she started to say them really slow like she was speaking to an infant. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time but our server never came back. Our drinks were empty as we began to eat and then we sat waiting for our bill with empty plates for awhile. We finally went to the bar where all the servers would just look at us and walk on by. Very poor service from everyone involved with the exception of the Hostess and cooks. Could be a great place but we won't be returning."
