"Don’t even know where to start. An absolute waste of time visiting this place. After considering all the places we can go for food and karaoke in Manchester to celebrate Xmas and New Years we finally decided to go to Han dynasty after reading their reviews. How wrong was I! To say the least customer service was terrible! Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Food was standard and not great at all, the karaoke system didnt even work most of the time! More importantly they had loads of hidden costs unexplained! The whole experience was utterly terrible and I wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy! Absolute waste of money! Manager was nowhere to seen like he’s vanished from the face of earth! We’ve had enough and asked for the bill. The normal rule around Chinatown for karaoke is that you select the size of the room and just pay for that karaoke fee, food and drinks have always been inclusive and that there’s no additional charge unless your food order goes over the standard charge. This bill we received added an extra £188 for the large karaoke room! making it almost £400 to the final bill! unbelievable! We were in shock and asked to speak to a manager. We wanted an explanation on how this bill was calculated because no way are we giving in to this ridiculous inflation just because it’s Christmas. We complained, we questioned and we fought and defended ourselves! The restaurant explained the karaoke service downstairs have always been a separate business to the restaurant upstairs and charges have always been separate! We argued saying it’s never been like that! And we always go karaoke! We asked since when? And how would people know if they didn’t tell them? They said it’s been over a couple of months now and all the menus and signs clearly states that! We looked at the menu, none stated! We looked at the entrance and the so called signs! Nothing to prewarn customers of this ridiculous arrangment! We said we’ve not been informed correctly and argue that It’s just their way of charging customers extra money when they least expect it and especially when it Xmas! If you don’t call this fraud I don’t know what this is then! I’m surprised people still come to this place! We argued, we explained, we tried to justify why we won’t be paying this amount because there’s no reason to and we was never, not at any point during the whole time told that the food was to be paid separate from the karaoke. Had we knew we wouldnt have come. We rung in and booked the room, they didn’t inform us of this. We arrived and they gave us the menus, they didn’t explain this. We asked for the menus a dozen times and we kept tab of how much we spent, we asked them how much are we on, they came back and every time we just said we made it clear we didn’t wanted to go over the base room rate. nothing was mentioned to us about the fee split at all! No attempt whatsoever! There was nothing around the place, nothing around their websites about this. It’s just a con, trying to gobble up all the innocent students and victims hard earned money. they even have the decency to raise their voice and tell us there’s nothing they can do and expect us to pay the full amount! Absolute rubbish! It literally felt like world war 100, just without the guns and cannons! they weren’t prepared to give in and neither were we! We fought hard and in the end after wasting so much time and breath, we settled and paid them just half of that bill! As we packed up we heard the people from the other rooms was also complaining about their bill. I’m not usually one to submit terrible reviews however to protect innocent victims going through the same horrific experience we did, it’s just the right thing to do to warn you! Would give them 0 if I can but they won’t allow. They’re lucky I didn’t sue them for post traumatic stress disorder! If I ever feel scared of going karaoke again, they can expect a letter from me asking for compensation! Well done Han dynasty for your awful services, you’ve lost yourself a great regular! I hope for the sake of everyone you carefully self reflect on how your restaurant operates and make significant changes. It’s been an expensive lesson but mark my words, if you carry on like this.. not sure how much customers you’d have left in the coming New Years..... no doubt we won’t be back after our traumatic experience! I just hope more victims like us would stand up more and make their voice heard!"

"I have just been to this restaurant and I can honestly say that it was the worst Chinese meal I have ever tasted in my life. The soup was inedible and full of what appeared to be bits of stale meat and vegetables. The chicken dish tasted like it had gone bad with loads of chilli to disguise the taste. I left all my meal and would never go there again. Avoid!!!!"

"A place that deserves a 5-star evaluation for eating that they serve. as they say, it is the law of attraction to work. our hotel was just a hop and a jump from chinatown to some and so we rode there on my first day looking for a place to eat. there are some restaurants here, but I don't know why we chose happy seasons. a clean brighter cheerful place that is dizzying with activities, and we had happy to have gotten a table immediately after going in the days. everything we had was just great. it is difficult to eat people from colkata who are raised, eat Chinese food and...more"

"I have been to this restaurant before for quite many times , and the food was okay. Many things have been written about the poor attitude towards the client, but let me tell you what happened this evening. Upon ordering the omelet , pieces of egg shell were found inside of it, not just one but many. I mean sometimes mistakes happen and it’s understandable but after i pointed out this to the waiter instead of apologising or at least being understandable of situation, he said and I quote “there are shells in the egg cause it’s fresh innit…” Seriously the old waiter was trying to prove to me it’s okay that there are shells in a damn omelet, I don’t care about the money I’ve spent there , but putting your customers at risk by providing them dish which is dangerous to swallow, and not even accepting your fault and behaving in a rude manner, is totally unacceptable. For people who put 5 stars to this restaurant try coming on a busy evening , wait in the queue for ages , listen to the staff complain at you , and wait for their attitude when you point a fair mistake the chef has made."
