"If there are talks about an age old hotel at Nungambakkam, it can be about none other than Palmgrove. I have always wanted to try their South Indian meal, I got an opportunity to do so only recently. The Menaka restaurant is located on the ground floor, a few yards away from the hotel reception. The restaurant is pretty spacious and can accommodate at least 150-200 people at a time. So we did not have to wait for our table."

"I have been here so many times. This place is warm and cosy and has remained same and unchanged from past 15 20 years. Yes it's a old restaurant and i have been coming here from the time i was toddler.<br/ <br/ The best dishes here are<br/ 1. Idli<br/ 2. Mysore masala dosa<br/ 3. South Indian meals<br/ 4. Chana bhatura<br/ 5. Basundi.<br/ <br/ Don't try any other stuff here as they are just average.<br/ These are the best and must have items.<br/ <br/ Food is not spicy at all and is palatable for most of the people. Someone looking for spicy stay away as food is not all spicy and is on a sweeter side.<br/ <br/ Overall ratings: <br/ 1. Taste: 4/5<br/ 2. Ambience: 4/5<br/ 3. Quantity: 4/5<br/ 4. "Raintree, the speciality Chettinad restaurant is located in an Chettinad style wooden structure situated under an old raintree in the garden of the Vivanta by Taj Connemara complex. With large picture windows and coconut wood floors the setting is quite magical.<br/ <br/ We went for lunch and elected to eat the Chettinad thali – non veg for all 3 of us.<br/ <br/ The meal started with a wooden chutney cart /trolley bring brought and offered to us – several varieties of chutney to eat with a variety of papads. Delicious but one shouldn’t fill up on it as the thali is rather extensive!<br/ <br/ This was followed by a delicious lightly flavoured coconut milk based mutton soup,<br/ <br/ Then the piece de resistance – the thali was served – comprising a dry chicken and different curries of chicken, mutton, fish and a vegetable. Served with rice and parotta.<br/ <br/ Pickles from the wooden thali were offered – including prawn, chicken and mango pickles to complement the meal. I tried the prawn which was delicious.<br/ <br/ The sweet ending comprised payasam and something unique made of rose petals, like a preserve. Served with a spice filled white chocolate.<br/ <br/ What made the meal so special was the service which was impeccable and just right. Definitely lived upto our expectations and deserved all the great reviews!"

"This is the first time that I have used Zomato. The live status map/ tracking app does not give accurate real time information. The delivery boy arrived about 20 minutes earlier than indicated! I also did not see the vehicle's reg no. (perhaps due to my unfamiliarity with your app). I used the Uber Eats app yesterday for the first time and I though it was more user-friendly (no offence meant; just an honest appraisal). I hope you improve accuracy of delivery information and real-time location information of delivery vehicle. I must confess that I was not following your notification page (which I checked later) that gave some additional information about the stages of delivery."

"This review is based on home delivery.<br/>So coming directly to food. To start off, tomato soup was one of the best I have tasted. Paneer tikka was soft and tender but little on spicier side. Rotis were perfect and went well with cheese kofta. The drawback was cheese kofta was it is too much of cheese that I couldn't take it. Veg hakka noodles was on oily side.<br/>I wud definitely order again for their roti n subji.<br/>Also it's worth the price. Items are aptly priced."

"Always wanted to be the first one to review a joint. So here goes!!<br/ Suriya sweets is a famous name among my office colleagues. Any birthday or celebration in office, and off we are to Suriya sweets to buy box loads of tasty sweets. Or at other times, it might just be a sweet craving in between a client meeting that drives you to step out of office and take a walk towards the sweet shop.<br/ <br/ It might be small when compared to the big names but it is a well run place. Right next to it, you can find a fruits and vegetables shop owned by the same folks. The good number of staff behind the counter makes sure no customer is unattended. Few chairs are arranged in a small room for seating in case you can't wait till you get back home/to office.<br/ <br/ All the sweets I've tried from here are good.<br/ Dahi vada (4/5 , Bengali sweets(5/5 , bonda (5/5 /pakora(3/5 with chutney and all the kaju based sweets (4/5 are what I've tried so far. What I like the best is that the dahi here never tastes sour (which I've experienced at many other well known chaat centers .<br/ <br/ Verdict: It's apt location and fresh sweets and savories makes it a popular place among the local crowd.
