"The dosaa was average by Indian standards, but not bad. The masaalaa had some interesting vegetables but again, wasn't super tasty to my spice-accustomed Indian palate. The coconut chutney was quite nice! And the red chutney was nice and spicy. The staff was nice and friendly, though the initial service could have been quicker, especially like giving drinking water right away."

"Last month, our family of four went to Versailles, France to see the palace. It was around lunch time and we decided to skip the usual touristy spots and wanderered into the downtown area instead. Versaiiles is a peaceful and calm city, so downtown is...pretty tame, compared to Paris. We stumbled upon an open air market that sold fresh produce and in the vicinity of the market was a row of restaurants. Each looked as good as the other, so we decided to try A La Gaite Brasserie. Most of patrons of the restaurants appeared to be locals. They had a fixed price menu that included choices of an appetizer, an entree and a dessert for Euros12. like home cooking with generous portions and great attentive service, we left the place totally impressed and satisfied. Highly recommended!"

"On a recent visit to Versailles we opted for a curry due to my gluten intolerance. Curries are normally ok as they usually only use gram flour and spices. The staff didn't have a clue what 'sans gluten' (gluten free in French) was. They also didn't understand what 'gram flour' was despite it being one the main flour used in curry house food worldwide. I gave up and took the risk that the curry would be ok. From a positive perspective neither me or my partner got jelly belly the next day. Sadly the curry had virtually no taste and I only had 6 small pieces of chicken in my curry. Very poor. If in Versailles you fancy going for a curry, don't go here and expect it to have lots of flavour and meat !"
