"We have eaten here before during Covid and felt very safe indeed due to the excellent social distance between the tables in the main dining room. As we were about to go into Tier 3 again, which means no restaurants can open, we swiftly booked a table before the lock down. We were offered both the a la carte menu and a Xmas menu. We went for the latter. We started with duck pate and chutney for me and crab cocktail for Barb very nice indeed. We then both had the braised ox cheek in a deep, rich sauce really gorgeous. We finished off with a custard tart for me and a passion fruit cheesecake for Barb lovely. Washed down with a fine Rioja. £99 including a 10% gratuity. A first class meal. Excellent cooking and effortless service. The time between courses was spot on. Overall a fine experience."

"No stars. this restaurant does not follow the gaw and has no regard for the gaw. They refuse to serve a young woman who has a guide dog for a serious medical condition and has all the right to have their clean and perfectly behave dog at any time with it. it is the law that they refuse. they said they didn't take care of the law. What is the issue of other right areas? do they wash their hands before they prepare to eat? wash or disinfect even their dishes or tables? serve chicken when it is called chicken on the menu or serve them cats? obviously they don't care about rules or human rights or just about the right and friendly thing. "Ordered a meal for 3 yeterday evening. Very disappointed the lamb in the lamb dish was undercooked, tough and gristly. The keema nan included a thin smear of something brown which didn't taste remotely of spiced lamb. The rice was OK, the bajis were OK, the tarka dal lacked flavour, as did the chicken tikka biryani and its vegetable curry. Not good for £46."

"Yet another Wetherspoons to dine at while travelling around in our caravan, this time visiting Birkenhead while staying near Chester. We managed to find it but had to ask where it was. My husband had Chicken Jalfrezi which included Rice, Naan Bread, Poppadoms and Mango Chutney with a pint of Guinness included. I had half a chicken marinated in Lemon and Herbs served with chips, coleslaw and a garlic dip and I had a Cherry Pepsi which was included. It is the first time I have had chicken since they put it back on the menu and I will definitely try it again. It cost £20.37 for both meals. Staff were pleasant and service good."

"Waited over 2 hours for delivery. The two currys (madras and bhuna) were just the base gravy with one with a sprinkle of corriander on it. Was greasey as hell. Even the poppadom was greasey. All the dips were watery. I had waited so long and was so hungry i tried to eat it but had to throw most of it away. Within an hour i was throwing up becouse of the grease. Terrible place and never again"
