"Came here on a Monday night. Chicken was good, but everything else I had was stale and hard eg shrimp and biscuits, which is super disappointing. I wish my Popeye's experiences were more consistent. Also, it was really hot in that restaurant."

"Gotta be one of, if not *the*, cleanest fast food restaurants in town. They do an insanely high volume so the food is always fresh. Staffed by competent adults and not annoying teenagers strung out on Xanax. Top 10 restaurant in Toronto."

"I want to express my deep disappointment with how I was treated at the Popeyes at Midland and Eglinton in Scarborough, Ontario. My family and I have been customers for at least 30 years at this very location. Yesterday in a rush I went to grab lunch. When I was given the cup to pour my drink I, fortunately, tasted it and found that it had absolutely no sweetener. This is not the first time something like this happened; the last time it had absolutely no soda. I told Lysa (or Alysa) who served me. She checked and saw that something needed to be changed. She asked someone in the back to bring something and told me that it would take two minutes. I waited at least 4 to 5 minutes with my food in my hand. In a rush to get back to work, I asked if she could just give me a bottle of sprite to go. She said that I’d have to pay an extra dollar. I was a bit taken back considering the situation. Nevertheless I thought to myself she is only a regular staff and is just not well trained in customer service to understand that it was their responsibility to ensure that the drinks are in serving condition and to monitor that. I saw the manager standing in the back. I said excuse me I think you are the manager and I am in a bit of a rush. Can I just get a drink from the fridge since it is taking too long for me to get the drinks from the machine. She replied with a tone that I felt was quite rude and condescending. “She is a manager too and I will say exactly what she said . You will have to pay a $1 to get a drink from the fridge.” As a business owner myself I have always believed in customer service and despite all the time I wasted ordering and waiting, I said that I have changed my mind about the meal and want a refund and left the store quite upset. The way I looked at it , after 30 years I wasn’t even worth $1. Actually even as a new customer, I deserved this consideration. It is not about the $1 but the principle. I promised before I left that I would make a complaint. I always keep my word. I suggest that upper management take time to retrain staff (and floor managers) about customer service and also to make sure that staff monitors the pop machine so that customers don’t have to wait. It’s called fast food for a reason."
