"My manager took me out to eat here one day, and the first thing I noticed was the stylish ambience and fast service. The service was fine, something you would expect from a noble ristorant like taps, but then again there were probably only 4-6 other parties there, so it wasn't busy at all). Food: I ordered the drunk Mahi Mahi $20) that came with four pieces of chips with salsa and crab top, and some pretty delicious tasting Risotto below. The fish itself was ‘meh’, sorta burned to a crunchy that leaves an inescapable taste in my mouth. Don't get me wrong, but the fish tasted pretty good, but could have been better if they added it to the side with a lemon or tartaric acid sauce. The one thing that really got me to salivate though was the Calamari appetizer. Instead of your traditional deep-fried Calamari they served it in a lush sauce that exploded my taste buds. Maybe that's why the fish didn't taste so hot. I can't do much for the happy hour or drinks what I hear is pretty good. Recommendations: Former business dinner or stylish dinner. I would give it 4.5 stars, but menuism doesn't let me do that"

"I was there on Friday and was perfect I went on Saturday with my daughter and the same plate was horrible! The spaghetti was terrible, I ask for salmón with mash potatoes and broccoli and receive rice instead when I ask for the change just gave me an untasted broccoli portion. I had recommend this place to my daughter but I will never go again"

"I have now been to TAPS twice, both times with a large group. The first time was such a fun experience. Our bilingual server was helpful, knowledgeable about the menu and so incredibly kind. But let me tell you about this most recent experience. The young server was so dismissive, passed us often when we were trying to get his attention and took three laps before taking our food order. He also left our dessert tray after putting it next to us. One of my family members passed out the desserts to everyone because he was GONE. We had to ask for silverware, drink refills, napkins...he was not on it. It was such a sour experience. The food was ok, I feel like the experience overshadowed our meal. And it actually started out bad because our reservation was moved indoors at the very last minute. I made the reservation at least a month before (I want to say closer to 6 weeks prior) and the day of, I was messaged with the change. I couldn't cancel on my large party so I took the inside reservation but it was not what we agreed to. I have included a picture of the table side s'mores that he eventually came twice for because he needed to light it."

"Just tried dine in and food was fresher than before very delicious and great service. Ate the clobster grilled cheese with fries and lobster taquitos with a shirly temple craft soda was yummy! Wow this place took me by surprise! Really a hidden gem in Brea. Ordered the Clobster Meal which is a lobster grilled cheese sandwich and fries. Came up to $16.16 total. Not a bad deal for how big the sandwich was. Very tasty and loved the fries! They have seasoning that is really yummy not too salty. The awesome sauce was yummy has a little kick dipped my fries in it and threw it on my sandwich. Needed at least 2 awesome sauces 1 is not enough for as many fries as you get. Really friendly service and very clean inside. Took my food to go was packed neatly. A+ overall. Will return."

"This was a lively lunch in a private room. Many were raving about the breakfast. Dining pre stay at home order was a special way to connect with friends, family and cherished people. Mama Manzella‘s meatballs were reported to be delicious like the wedge salad. So grateful for the hospitality here and the greeting at the door. New couches were outside and patio was full. Looking forward to the future when Taps reopens for inside dining. Do continue to order the menu specialties online. Pickup and delivery is offered. Excellent time. Try M. Marinated Sea Bass!"

"My brother-in-law told me how fantastic the food at On The Hook is. A party of 10 of us went to find out for ourselves, and On The Hook did NOT disappoint! So great dishes with so much taste...yum!
