"The location and the food was outstanding but unfortunately the service was quite poor. At some point we felt like waiters just forgot about us. I wanted to order another round of drinks and dessert but noone came to our table for so long we just decided to leave. However the waiters who we met while getting seated were very kind."

"One entree came out 20 minutes before the other entrees. Anytime we asked for something it was forgotten and we had to ask again… this included steak knives, a request to close the wind screen (not sure why it was opened up on a rainy January evening), request for additional wine, and request for to go boxes had to ask twice for anything we needed/wanted. Better value elsewhere in Vancouver. Whole party was disappointed with the experience, which was for a special occasion. This is the third time in a row we’ve had a similar experience at Dos Alas; things have really gone downhill."

"I never like to leave a negative review but I feel like our experience was worth noting. We ordered apps,salad, entree and dessert but Our courses were not timed out correctly and our appetizers came out separately which was fine but my oysters Rockefeller were not hot.. then my salad came while we still finishing up apps and then our entree came out while we were still eating our salads it was just messy and seemed forced but at the end when choosing dessert is where our server told us that she needed the table for another reservation.. i offered to move to the bar and she said everything was full, it’s for that reason I will not go back nor recommend. Had we not been spending money I can totally understand but that was not the case at all and there seemed to be tables in a separate section so I can’t see why they couldn’t relocate the other table. Furthermore the other server with the glasses was staring us down and we felt super uncomfortable. I work in the biz for over years and never had such an experience"

"We ordered one of the valentine specials (blackened ribeye tacos. I asked the waitress to describe it to me and was disappointed in what she told me I would get and what we got. She said it would be a blackened ribeye with flour tortilla’s a poblano crema and salsa. I was thinking a sliced ribeye. It came out assembled on 4 corn not flour tortillas which were the size of a coaster with almost diced ribeye. The waitress started out pretty good but in the end just about forgot us. Asked for check and 15 minutes and two trips to the table behind us we got the check."
