"We went out to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday with some family and friends. We were in the restaurant for over 2 hours because of the extremely slow service. We were assigned a waiter who reported it was his first day and I felt extremely bad because they assigned him two large parties to manage at once (my party of 11 and another party of about 10) and he was having a hard time managing them both. I asked the manager for another waiter or waitress in efforts to improve the quality of service. Instead the manager pulled one of bartenders who was running back and forth from the busy bar when she could (not often) as well as the original waiter so it did not make a difference in service. One of the people in my party received a drink with a bug in it, another person ordered a steak and was not served until after the entire rest of the party was served and ate, the steak was also overcooked. We waited an additional 25 minutes for 1 dessert and the checks. Once the checks came out some were wrong and had some mathematical errors. Overall, the service was extremely slow, the food was mediocre, the restaurant was very loud, several obnoxious guests and the nicest thing about the place was the ambiance. I would not recommend."

"This place is fantastic and definitely going to be one I visit regularly. The service is really good. For example, the hostess was so warm and welcoming. She was also super helpful in getting us checked in. We sat at the bar since the wait was pretty long, but it ended up being a really great experience. I love the brightly lit atmosphere. It feels very comfortable and happy. There’s patio seating and a bar which are easier to get a seat at if you forget to check in prior to arriving and don’t want to wait a long time to get seated. The food was so delicious. I just can’t recommend this place enough. My husband and I recently moved to the area from Oklahoma City. HomeGrown reminds me of my favorite breakfast spot in OKC called Hatch Early Morning Food. I’m so happy to find a similar spot."
