"Don't know what the heck some of these reviews are talking about... I've been looking for a place like this in Charlotte for seven years. Just thinking about their Jalapeno hummus and shawarma makes my mouth water. I hate that I didn't find this place sooner. On top of that, I took my significant other to Peño and he's not one for Mediterranean food and now he's just as obsessed. Seriously a GEM in Charlottes crown."

"I never ever leave reviews of places but after today I felt I had to so that no one else has this experience. I went today with my kids to get some lunch after a morning at the beach. It was an overall awful experience. We got there shortly after opening so we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. The man who took our order seemed annoyed. It looked like he was training multiple people and none of them quite knew what they were doing. He rushed us ordering, we barely had time to look at the menu before he was rushing us along to order. I got 2 kids meals, the chicken sharwarma for myself, and the gyro meal for my oldest son. The total was $50, which seemed high for what we got. We waited quite awhile for our food, and when it came it was the biggest disappointment.The meals were laughable especially the kids. The portions were so small that both my kids were still starving after. I included a picture of my daughters meal. This is a $7 meal? Certainly not.My meal was just not good. The chicken was very fatty and had an odd flavor, then there were the potatoes , it was literally cold French fries. It did not go well together. It was just not good. My kids chicken did taste good they said but they needed a bigger portion.We learned our lesson and will not be back. Sucks I spent $50 on such an awful meal.This was at the pointe at barclay location today around 11:15."

"Retried this Greek restaurant after seeing a favorable review in the local newspaper. I was excited for the variety of sea food options that other Greek restaurants don't seem to have available. Neither of the two grouper items I chose were available so I switched gears and asked for the rib eye steak and once again found it wasn't available. One of our party tried to request a gyro meal and found it unavailable during dinner. Basically I could choose chicken or Moussaka.The chicken was tasty with the sauce provided and my wife enjoyed the Moussaka but, again, I didn't see anything special about the did. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze and the service was adequate so if this place is close to were you live you may like the Greek offerings but there are restaurants in the area who bring this type of food alive and have better variety."

"Garlic crush is just perfect for a quick Mediterranean option. I love their garlic fries, they are sooo good! Their falafels are of good size and fried to perfection. My usual has been the chicken shawarma platter for which we usually add in a note to roast the chicken pieces a little more. I have only had take outs from here, they are quick in service and would definitely recommend trying this place."

"I just had my first experience at Lou Lou and had a great time. We sat outside since the air was a little heavy inside with a seafood smell (not preferential for me), but it was fine since it was a nice day outside. I ended up with the Grilled Chicken salad which has mixed greens, tomatoes, red onion, sweet red peppers, balsamic vinaigrette, and of course shredder chicken. Everything was very tasty, flavorful, and fresh. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu and bring some friends along with me. Great local place with great food!"
