"I met Saint Patrick that evening! It was my St. Pat's birthday (I turned over a new decade). I had made a reservation with Open Table for four of us a week before the March 17 date. Couldn't wait for that amazing corned beef and cabbage. Unfortunately, on the day of the reservation, I received an email from Open Table saying that they were sorry but my reservation had been canceled and that Paddy Coyne's was closed for St. Pat's Day. I couldn't believe this so I called the restaurant. They said that they were in fact open but that Open Table made a mistake by taking reservations. The restaurant was so crowded that the tables were first come first served. I had already paid for a room at the Edgewater for that night and was very disappointed. At any rate, we gave it a try, and my wife talked to the manager (Patrick) when we arrived explaining the situation. Patrick got us a table within ten minutes and took perfect care of us all evening. We had a wonderful time and the corned beef and cabbage were indeed delicious. Everything was perfect and the four of us had a great time. The only other comment I would make regarding the meal is that the last I was there, it included carrots which has been changed to kale. I with they would go back to the carrots. Thank you Patrick you are a saint!"
