"We get takeout here a lot on weekends. Partner always gets the Benedict; sometimes the hollandaise is plentiful and delicious, but not always...sometimes it is thin, cracked or nearly non existent. Home fries are good. Bagels are delicious, but theyoften run out of the flavors we prefer. Chopped liver varies, but is consistently better than the competitor. Knishes tasty. Overall, our go to weekend deli/breakfast, but a bit over-priced."

"Why would you change the coffee that everyone raved about? I want to start off by saying I 'm extremely pro small/local business and I really want to see the new owners succeed. Like any new owners they have been in process of putting their own spin on Common Cafe, which is to be expected (a fresh take should always be welcomed . This place had been a staple for my wife and I. Amazing food and coffee made it worth the wait even when it got quite hectic on the weekend. Since then, new ownership can 't seem to find their groove. The baked goods that they have brought in are fine, but everything baked in house is dry and doesn 't look appetizing (really miss the old granola bars for quick morning grab . They 've changed up the menu extensively (again to be expected , but nothing has been for the better (why is a cafe making ready made nachos? wings? , the few menu items on holdover are not executed as well. Orders frequently get lost or small things are missed consistently (modifiers no mayo etc. . The changeover this weekend to a different brand of coffee that tasted horribly burnt and bitter is the last straw for me. If you can no longer provide good coffee I have no reason to come in. I ' 'll give it one more shot in a couple months, hoping you 've hit a stride. For now, the 2 3 time a week Common habit is on indefinite hold. The new owners are definitely pleasant people, but so far you seem out of your depth in f&b. If it were me, I would be leaning harder on holdover employees to keep what was a great operation going. I would hire people who can bake at professional level (presentation and variety . Take a hard look at menu simplify and execute well."

"Mushroom burger with sweet potato fries and a 'Stella Artois ' !! ran me 21. After I ordered I was given a number to place on my table, and I then went and chose my own seat. Someone who looked like a chef brought me my burger. It looked and tasted, like a burger from ground beef that I would make myself on the grill!!! The sweet potato fries were plentiful and bomb!! All enjoyed with a beer, set inside a super market. Quality was A+. I def would have saved if I went with a soda instead of beer. That would have put me in the cost range of 5 guys and Smash only the quality at Wegs was far superior."
