"It was a cute restaurant with nice decor in a good location. But there were two different hairs in my food and the service was just odd. They did comp my meal which was nice, but it wasn't even a yummy meal. It was pretty over priced for what it was. Probably will not be going back"

"I recently visited Pappas Bros. Steakhouse in Houston with my friend, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. We started sharing the foie grass that was surprisingly delicious. The aromas were rich and savory, and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. For our main course, my friend had the filet and I chose the NY Strip. Both were cooked for perfection, and the quality of the meat was exceptional. We were both impressed by the way the aromas could shine through without being drowned by overwhelming sauces or spices. To accompany our meal, we split a bottle of pomerol that was reasonably priced and the steak perfectly complements. The service in the evening was attentive and professional, and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. All in all, I would recommend Pappas Bros. Steakhouse for those looking for a high-quality culinary experience in Houston. The food, wine and service were all exceptional, and I can't expect to go back to another meal."

"We really loved Bella Gioia! We hadn't been before, and it was a great choice. We were there early on a Monday evening and it was very quiet, which was a nice bonus. The food was fantastic, everyone loved what they ordered. Of particular note was the amazing butternut squash soup which everyone agreed was the best they'd ever had. So rich and creamy and delicious. Since it was not too busy we had a few nice conversations with the chef, and he explained that the butternut squash, and most all of his vegetables, come from his father's farm in upstate NY. Other notable dishes were the deep-fried burrata appetizer, the beet carpaccio salad, a special of pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and the succulent short rib. Easy to get to, it's right across the street from the R train station at 4th Ave and Union St in Brooklyn. We can't wait to go back."
