"Having eaten at Miss Vy's restaurants in Hoi An on a trip to Vietnam several years ago, we were so excited when House of Hoi An opened in Windsor. We haven't been disappointed yet.We visited on a rainy Thursday evening and the spiced Vietnamese tea offered on arrival was so warming and very welcome respite from the cold. As an entree, we shared the 'roll your own' bbq pork with rice paper and it was just as good as we remembered in Hoi An. For mains we shared the eggplant clay pot with minced pork and onion sauce (the best thing on the menu, in my opinion) and the caramelised pork belly with coconut rice. Both were absolutely delicious and the eggplant is a must-try. Flavoursome, tender and so very moreish.The restaurant was busy when we last visited but the staff handled it easily. We also drank a bottle of wine from the house wine list and found that it was an enjoyable bottle that was reasonably priced. I believe House of Hoi An also does BYO wine but I'm not sure of the corkage.The team running House of Hoi An clearly know what they're doing, from the chefs to the wait staff and we have happily made it a local favourite."

"Best dish: Penang curry! We loved this dish! We have been here 3 times for that. Everything has been great including cocktails. The only negative it was last time the curry was a little bit different. Hope it was only a bad day, we will be back."

"We've been going to Shallot for years - they were the best Thai around for miles, however, the last few takeaway orders have declined in quality - they seemed more slap-dash and out the door - to top it off on Friday night our red chicken curry was under-cooked. The sweet potato was hard and the chicken was still raw in the centre. I have contacted them twice to discuss it and they have still not responded. It appears that they don't care so we will be finding a new Thai place to spend our money with. Very disappointing."

"Once again the food was delicious from here. Everything was perfect , rice , naan bread , meat. ( very tender) and samosa etc...Been going here for years & last two times I've had takeaway and it has been perfect. My mate said it was the best he has ever had !!!"

"We booked this for pre show dinner. Didn 't need to book as we were the only ones there, that sent up flags... There was a handwritten note on the front door saying 'Mind the Step ', another flag..., plastic plants staff playing on their phone...behind the counter, more flags.... Our meal was tasteless, no flavour. We chose, Green Curry Red Duck, the only way we could tell which was which was the colour, neither had that vibrant spicy Thai flavour that we all love expect. There was a choice of beers on the menu, but none available. Service was slow. I very rarely no .. never write a review like this, but I was very disappointing and they need to pick their act up and decide whether they want to be a restaurant or just a take-away business."
