"A good restaurant with a nice comfortable place to visit with friends. Service is good. The waiters all were friendly and creating an easy-going atmosphere. However, the food was just average. The oysters we ordered smelled not right. The calamari legs, lobster, scallops all lacked of that slightly sweet flavor. The textures of the fish were not controlled very well, all were overcooked, in my perspective. "Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short because my daughter started crying, but I can't wait to come back! The rolls we tried were great (I ordered the Potato Roll my sister ordered the Sleeping Lady) and they brought us miso soup and even edamame for my daughter on the house, I have never been to a sushi place that did that before, so I'm very appreciative of that. Their pricing is good and their portions are good as well, I definitely recommend this place (and the potato roll) oh, and the staff are friendly"

"I came here because it was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I never actually even saw the episode but I googled which restaurants in town had been on the show and I was in the mood for oriental food. I asked what was on the show and they said the spicy chicken so that’s what I ordered, without even looking at the menu. Normally I don’t like spicy food, but this one was pretty dang good. It was right at the edge of what I like for spicy food but for most people, they would consider it pretty mild dish. Service was fast and friendly and even on a Friday night they were quick."

"Literally had the most PHENOMENAL experience with Emma. Our niece celebrated her 7th birthday (classy as always) and Emma totally accommodated to us. She interacted with the kids effortlessly and managed to balance the adults as well. We come here often but this was by far my best experience. My anxiety was through the roof with this large group of kids and Emma made the night a breeze.Oh, and the food is ALWAYS amazing too-Nyla"

"On our last night in Anchorage, we wanted to try local seafood, and Simon Seafort came recommended. The black cod in maple-bourbon and miso was outstanding. The glaze was just enough to provide flavor without overwhelming the cod, which tasted incredibly fresh. My wife had the wild sockeye, and she was ecstatic. Perfectly grilled to bring out the flavor without being overcooked. The spinach salad was very good, especially the egg-mustard dressing, which again was enough to lend flavor without drowning the fresh spinach. If you're in Anchorage and looking for excellent seafood (and a beautiful view of Cook Inlet), cannot recommend Simon Seafort enough."
