"I wandered in wanting a snack, but found the staff didn 't know what was vegan their menu only has a symbol for 'vegetarian '. One item (a brownie) had 'vegan ' in the description and the waitress said it wasn 't, which was confusing! Also things like the apple pie were apparently not vegan. So my options were limited, but in the end I got a nice turmeric latte with coconut milk and an acai whip with fruit. It was nice sitting at the wooden bench out the back in the sun, watching the ocean. It 's table service only, and I waited ages for the acai whip, but I was on a long weekend chilling out so it didn 't matter. The only other disappointment was that the acai whip came in a disposable cup (with 'compostable ' spoon I 've heard these actually take ages to decompose) even if you 're eating in. All in all, not really a vegan vibe here, but good enough if you 're in the area, and it 's a nice setting, with no traffic, and an ocean view out the back."

"We thought we'd try this little place close to our hotel one night and are we ever glad we did. The food is so tasty and the best we had while visiting Australia. The service is very good and friendly. We went back a second time just before we flew back to Canada because it is such a great spot. We highly recommend this restaurant. It's on the Lower Gold Coast Hwy in Burleigh Heads. Don't miss it!"

"The Refuel Depot is my once a week lunch treat and I ALWAYS get the Berry Acai Bowl. It is by far the best Acai I have ever had. The coconut and berry compote is delicious. I do ask for Macadamia nuts instead of granola as this is how the Refuel Depot used to serve their Acai bowls, and personally, I love the Macadamia's with this Acai. Also, the Cacao Crunch Truffles that can be found in the fridge in the Refuel Depot are incredible!"

"Staying at Tallebudgera Tourist Park and decided we did not feel like cooking and looking for somewhere that delivered...what a find! Great food and flavours and really fresh and really hot! So great, we have not had such great Indian for a long time and it was beautiful! Delivery was great, they simply called when at the front and we meant them immediately. Food and service great and recommendations in terms of portions was good too! Enjoy!"

"Perfect example of ' a little hospitality gies a long way! ' Went to Harvest Moon mainly because Google mentioned it it offered WiFi. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and design! I was upfront with the waitress about the fact I was hoping to skype my boyfriend (who is currently in India) and asked for a quiet spot. She didn 't hestitate nor treat me like a nuisance. They readily helped and tried their best to seat later diners away from me as I spoke on the phone. The place was quite full by the time I left and I observed staff remain friendly and accommodating with every customer. There was a chilled vibe and laughter filled the room! I was very tempted to eat as their menu looked devine but unfortunately didn 't get the chance before I had to leave! I hope I get a chance to revisit before returning home! 10/10 would recommend for the staff atmosphere alone!"

"I dined at Siam Orchid three years ago and it was one of the best Thai meals of my life.My wife and two children decided to replicate our previous experience while we are visiting the area again but we're very disappointed.I now realise why when we arrived there was so many free tables as previous visits had been extremely hard to book at short notice ... anyway, here goes..!We were seated quite quickly and promptly ordered some table water, mineral water and an Apple Cider. After waiting almost fifteen minutes I went to the bar and asked how our drinks were going and if we could also order our meals. The waitress brought the drinks and when she gave me my Apple Cider she asked if I'd like ice and I said yes, that would be great. We then ordered our food and asked how long it would be as we had two tired kids. We were told no longer than 15 minutes which suits us perfectly.After ten minutes, no ice came and I had finished my Apple Cider. I went to the bar to order a second drink and to remind to bring the ice this time.After 45 minutes and no second drink I went back to the bar and received a look of whoops and her is your drink, but with no ice, oh well, third world problems, the drink was cold enough so I let it go.After a further ten minutes and still no food my wife went to the kitchen to ask how long our food was. She was told one dish was ready but the others hadn't been started yet. My wife proceeded to cancel our order and was told no, you must wait and take the food in takeaway. She said no, paid for the drinks and we left.Extremely disappointed as this place was once the best we had ever had and we as a family eat a lot of Thai food.I do hope the new management can get the wheels back in the bus and restore this place to its former glory."

"I quickly popped in one day after seeing little gourmet desserts cakes in display fridge. They looked amazing. My daughter I ended up trying some of the fresh yoghurt though. Wow! It was soo yummy. And different flavours available like macadamia, vanilla, choc, coconut etc- The lady serving us was very friendly told us there's over 100 flavours available she wants to keep getting new flavours in for customers to try. We'll definitely be back!"
