City: Luebeck, Holstenstraße 38, Lübeck I-23552, Deutschland, Luebeck, Germany
"Once again, I would like to report on a small gastro plant dedicated to a pure dessert offer and therefore cannot be compared with a usual restaurant and its culinary claim. It is therefore a rather banal and entertaining pleasure in sugar, which can be enjoyed at larger intervals. Actually, I wanted to repeat the unpredictable but uncomplicated candy fun in the Royal Donuts. But an image in the Google entry of the company described here and further information on social media appearance only put the My Wafer in the focus of my sweet interest. But first, as usual, a few words to this little business that is funny is just a few meters from the Royal Donuts in the Holstenstraße overlooking the Holstentor. The opening planned in spring 2020 was crossed by the Corona Pandemie jäh. Nevertheless, one stopped at the opening project and could also try his luck in the running business after the first lockdown until the beginning of the longer second lockdown winter. I honestly didn't expect my waffle to open its doors this spring. On the one hand, the restaurant includes a long list of offers concerning the waffles in the city centre of Lübeck, of which I have already reported on two. Besides, I could hardly imagine that enough buffers could be created to survive the long closing time. The greater is my respect for the operators who were not completely discouraged by this Pandemmie Winter and who started restarting. Outside view. From the outside, the place for me is a little sober than the rather banging competition of Donut specialists. Comic representations clearly show the offer at the shop windows, but the dark or brownish basic color is better suited for the appearance of the entire house. Interior view #1. Interior view #2. Unlike the Royal Donuts, the slightly larger room in front of the counter offers a few seating options. Dark parquet and even more dark tones inside provide the exterior look and after my feeling provide a cozy atmosphere. The offer, originally oriented only to the popular Belgian dough product on all sides, presents it in a variety of variants: Classically baked in the form of a flower, but also as a waffle pommes with a hint of churros, as well as a bubble waffle in a more voluminous form, which can be filled even better than a pack with a variety of gifts. The components provided for these fillings also offer with different fruits, convenience candy and corresponding sauces nothing that would be new in Lübeck or what would have brought me extra into this place. Since the end of May, however, the offer has been extended by another sweetener, from which there are already many recipes I have never arrived in Lübeck: cheese cake on the stem or short “cake sticks”. Cake Pops have been a generally known bakery trend in recent years. But even the more fragile cheesecakes in this form are new to me. This is also achieved in my waffle in these cake sticks offered there by giving them a stabilizing coat like in a stick of ice with a real glaze. As with the Royal Donuts, and therefore the non-denominational similarity is also due to its offer, many blows can be attached to this glaze. In terms of choice, the concept of the Royal Donuts is the same, and it also focuses on the well-known and particularly popular sweets from the cooler or from the Quengel Theke . Even in glazes, whole milk and white chocolate are the rule and thus no novelties. With the help of various food colours, however, the Craziness factor for the child's eye is also increased visually. Nevertheless, I wanted to give this insulin turbo a chance, but the attempt by Royal Donuts at the end turned out to be an investment (although culinaryly banal and only entertaining pleasure). I used the opportunity to take away or even be pre-ordered. This is also recommended for the cake sticks from the local area, as they can then be fresh and happy to be assembled according to customer requirements. The communication does not run through the relevant social media channels either by phone or, as with such a device, to expect otherwise. This ran liquid and with a short reaction time. I could pick up the order in time. In addition, the rods were packed in a stable box and were also remarkably direct from the cooling. The box for the transport of the cake stick. This part of the service was very positive. In addition, there is also a plus point at the price that I will give you further down. From the on-site service, of course, I can only convey the short impression of the food transfer. In the early afternoon, 2 young ladies took care of the business. The greeting was of course kind. Although a colleague had a certain number of customers in front of me, she worked out with a fleeting and dedicated way of working. This was supplemented by the slightly more relaxed second employee. They immediately knew about my order and wished me a lot of pleasure for goodbye. The short impression could not have been much better. But now, come to the kitchen: from the following Cakestick trio that promised me most of the components, I promised myself the greatest possible variety. It should be mentioned in advance that each piece brings about 200 to 250 grams to the scale. For a copy without topping, 4€ and a package of 4.5€ are required. The “Kilogram Prize” is thus already well below the level of “Royal Donuts”, where you get copies with only 120 150 grams at the same price. Here the restaurant collected the second service plus point mentioned above. Since the order was mistakenly a flat-rate price of 4.0€, although the three variants with discount costs were 4.5€, I only had to pay the announced 12€ instead of actually 13.5€. It's great you stood on his word. Cakestick with glaze of white chocolate and yogurt as topping. Cakestick with glaze from whole milk Shokolade with stripes of white chocolate and cheerful hippo as a springboard. Cakestick with glaze from whole milk chocolate and Lotus Biscoff biscuits as topping. The Handicraft precision already indicates the quality and thus also the claim of the manufacturer of such candy. There were already light and shadows of optics. The three specimens came equally large and also as beautiful uniform triangles. At the glaze, however, the image was divided. While chocolate glaze was uniform and also quite smooth, the coating of white chocolate was designed as a fairly liquid, thin and quite thin coating even after long cooling. What had to be mentioned positively above in the "Kilogram Prize" was rather a disadvantage in stability. They couldn't eat the cake like an ice cream on the stem, because then they would be broken. Knives and fork were definitely the better choice. The toppings were not pickled, because in addition to the 2 copies in the pictures there was a third package that I had recorded for the photo of similarity. So the two pieces with chocolate would already testify to an “instagram suitability” while the variant with white chocolate would not be so revealing. The donut bombs therefore provide more in terms of optics and processing. As with the Donuts, I try to evaluate the basis here: say the cheesecake. In each variant you always stay with the same pastries and do not offer different variants as with the donuts. So I'm a direct comparison as a further assessment. Since the cheese cakes cannot be filled as diverse as the donuts, the “Cakestick” offer loses tastefully different variability and variety. It could be possible to offer recipes with different cheese cakes (e.g. in chocolate variant or with coconut or incorporated fruit puree). The cake itself wasn't bad yet. The ratio of grape vinegar and cheesecake mass has voted for me, and this was also pleasantly juicy. So that was far from a dusty surprise. However, it is difficult to describe the three specimens differently, as I hardly have to report how a white or whole milk chocolate tastes or the convenience sweetness I want. These are the only components that make a difference here to the normal cheese cake. However, it was still pleasant that the somewhat "blown" glaze of white chocolate could at least show something tasteful. It is also necessary to think too well that at least the toppings were not too much with which almost every bite could also be a piece of candy. Already at the “Royal Donuts” I had tried to draw the comparison to a normal bakery to distinguish between a welcome and a disgusting alternative. While my conclusion with the donuts was positive due to the wide range and also the uniqueness, I cannot explain this personally with the “Kakesticks”. Every more demanding bakery now offers more variety at the same price and certainly also better craftsmanship. So again after a colorful insulin shot I will probably explore the map of “royal donuts” as I see more potential for surprise and diversity at the same price, unlike the current “Cakesticks” of “My Wafer”. Nevertheless, it is important to emphasise once again that this assessment is based only on the “Cakesticks” that I also pre-ordered and only picked up. From a visit to the “My Waffle” my total number of points is not to be discouraged, because it is clear that the good to very good impression of service and ambience is to be observed. With the core business of the wafer variants, perhaps even a little more culinary is brought out. Only for the cake friends, in my opinion, it does not have to make an additional visit here compared to the normal bakery."

City: Luebeck, Mühlenbrücke 1a, 23552 Lübeck (Innenstadt) , Schleswig-Holstein, Luebeck, Germany
"In the middle of 2022, these premises in Mühlenstraße 1a were already standing for a Unicum in the gastronomic scene of the Lübeck Old Town. For the first time in the Hanseatic city of Arsien Sushi art, a sushi kitchen based on noble ingredients, which also emerged from the other unit of this European cuisine in the cities of Germany. The combination with a loose bar restaurant Fusion gave the local seemingly great success that led to an opening of a second branch outside the old town, as well as in the middle of 2022 the move to the much larger rooms in Hüxterdamm. However, the announcement of this movement made it clear that a tenant is already in the pipeline for the old Domizil in the Mühlenstraße. At the beginning of August 2022, Raahi celebrated its opening here. Outside view. So far, what was the addition of Sushi Art is to continue the Fine Indian Food plant under the new owner Preetam Singh Sodi. In the case of Indian cuisine, a level and creativity should be offered, so it is refreshed by the otherwise very interchangeable menus of the usual Indian restaurants, which are adapted to German preferences here in Lübeck. Interior view with view of the bar. Interior view with view of the window. With regard to the ambience, the Raahi is oriented entirely towards the successful predecessor. The division of the guest room with the bar opposite the entrance door has remained to continue the good distribution of mainly 2 tables. In contrast to the rather darker, lounge-like design, the focus is already on bright green, which is found as a wall color and seat cushion of the chairs. Together with the tables held in a darker wooden tone, a forest-rich atmosphere is actually created, which is naturally tolerable for a relaxed spirit. On the other hand, floor and beams are held in a neutral gray. The guest room is also well lit with light spots on the walls and three spherical lamps above the beam. The Raahi makes me the best of the limited spatial possibilities. During my stay in the early evening, in addition to the boss Preetam, two other service employees at the bar took care of contact with the guests. I had mainly contact with the boss who, after welcoming and accusing my question of spontaneous entry, also ensured that one felt welcome with a suitable and interested way. On the one hand he inquired how I came to the restaurant and the selection of the dishes I had already met in advance, on the other hand he also asked for satisfaction during the meal and wanted to come to my dish in an interesting conversation. Of course, I was even given a small carafe of mineral water, as I did not want to order a drink for this short visit. This underlines the hospitality again very much. The requirements of an evening restaurant were absolutely worthy of this professional service, with a tireless need, for which I would like to pay full score. But now the most exciting thing that has already made a lot of joy for a return to Raahi: the food offer. As already mentioned, the commonly used Indian card for Germans, which, divided by individual meat types, always uses the same additives and methods of preparation. Thus, the card has a very large effect, although the differences in taste due to the spicy Indian cuisine in the exchange of meat varieties are anyway minimal and thus the offered bandwidth is in truth much lower. In Raahi, the structure is first aligned more to the partial sizes divided into small and large plates (small large plates). There is also an additional category for Biryani rice dishes, as well as for supplements and desserts. Also the typical Indian breads are offered here in a versatile version as their own category, with for example a garlic butter; blue form Cheddar or filled Naan varieties with lamb chop and onions could almost give their own dish. The small plates are almost more than Indian tapas, of which you can order several for sharing for the entire table. Here, for example, Burrata is combined with chickpeas, tamarind, fennel and olives or also Tandoori chickens with truffles and fresh cheese, thus offering a refreshing crossover kitchen that still has a clear Indian content. However, it is also natural for the large plates where, in addition to the classic “butter chicken” and “Kashmiri lamb”, for example, a fish curry is used, or a duck breast with all kinds of spices and coconut milk is placed in an Indian light. Vegetarian can be enjoyed with “New Age Mother Paneer” or a Masala variation with white beans, carrots, flower flowers and broccoli. By the way, the offer moves in a very moderate and by no means frightening range from about 13 to a maximum of 23 €, while supplements, breads and desserts remain in the single-digit range. To this first small test visit, a “small plate” laughed around one of my (usually numerous) favorite vegetables. For €15.5 I ordered the “duet of Tandoori Cauli” which was announced with the components “Yoghurt cauliflower broccoli ginger green Chutney”. Duet by Tandoori Cauli: yogurt cauliflower broccoli ginger green Chutney. The first thought that many see the picture is likely: “But this is very little for €15.5.” But in my opinion, this assessment should not be used until the first fork reaches the palate. The duet presented itself in the form of 2 roasted cauliflowers and broccoli, dressed in a diagonal line with some roasted pieces of red pepper and onion, as well as some frisée lively. Broccoli and cauliflowers were characterized by a yellow, creamy marinade of yogurt and Indian spices (Curcuma, Cumin, ginger, fennel), which gave them the desired spices. On the spot glowed, they got their finished with beautiful roasts in the Tandoori fire oven. But the work on the taste pattern did not last long, the three sauces distributed on the plate floor for the melanges that quäntchen. Hand in hand, a sweet tamarind, ethereal mint and fine, slightly acidic coriander Chutney kept very well the sheds and thus enriched the aroma spectrum. All this, the boss told me in the interesting conversation, with a convincing passion for his home kitchen. For my palate he has already brought them to the plate in this little vegetarian food. My final, summarizing words on this first short test visit of the new “Raahi” are as follows: in my opinion, the presentation and design of the small spatiality was achieved very well, as it continued to receive the novelty of the predecessor. In addition, it already shows with reference to overloading with accessories that occur so often in “Inder Tempels” that it should be on a more demanding and more creative level. During my visit, the attentive and hospitable service was able to meet this demand that the boss personally did in the early evening. The anticipation caused by the exciting sound menu was fully met with my chosen vegetarian dish around cauliflower and broccoli. Handicraft precision was shown at the cooking point and oven roasts of the vegetables were hit. Delicacies for strong but balanced Indian spices revealed themselves in Marinade and Chutneys and congratulated my taste buds with the hoped uniqueness. €15.5 is justified in working hours for the many components that all play their important role. So the “Raahi” is more than just for me to offer a modern crossover kitchen based on Indians. When the predecessor “Arsia” performed it here with his sushi cuisine, Chef Preetam also represents a truly rewarding qualitative retreat and uniqueness in the other Indian gastronomy Lübecks and is worth a visit."

City: Luebeck, An Der Obertrave 12, 23552 Lübeck (Innenstadt) , Schleswig-Holstein, Luebeck, Germany
"I was surprised a couple of weeks ago when I discovered this new name at a small corner house when I was strolling on the busy shores of the Obertrave between the gastro companies that have long rowed in a firm hand. A search in the world wide web did not give any further information, but thanks to the other social media, it was possible to find out something about what seemed to have reopened here under the name of blueprint a short time ago. Cafebar is the gastronomic group that assigns this place according to its own statement. Daily guests from 12:00 22:00 can take a small lunch break, enjoy a coffee with a patisserie in the afternoon or meet a few drinks in the evening. With regard to the situation, a good grip has already been made for this purpose. Not without reason, the restaurants are directly adjacent to each other on this section on the banks of the Obertrave. A large, traffic-paced area between the edge of the bank and the houses offers many possibilities to let its view fall on the one hand on the plundering Trave and the boating on it, or the wonderful historical buildings of the old salt store and iconic holstentors. Outside view. Accordingly, the Cafebar Blaupause, located in a typical red Lübeck brick house, also offers several tables as a free seat, which attracted me especially this Friday noon besides the great view through a jazz street musician in listening distance. Interior view with view to the counter. Within the old walls, there is an unexcited ambience with clear structures, certainly also due to the recently opened opening. The white plastered wall and ceiling are contrasted with the gray-held counter with brick optics exposed behind it. Interior seating. Interior view with view to the entrance. The small brick wall also forms a successful change to the spatial division in the center. A few plants hanging on the ceiling loosen the atmosphere with natural design objects. In addition to simple, bare wooden tables and chairs, a wooden bench installed on the right of the wall with several pillows offers a looser seating. A state-of-the-art urban facility that made me a positively thought-out impression. At the time of my arrival, two young gentlemen took care of the welfare of the guests. The greeting was very friendly and open-hearted and in the course of my visit they were always easy, communicative but nevertheless attentive. For this kind of gastronomy, a service that is stand-alone for me. In the sense of a cafe bar, my expectations for the culinary repertoire were also such that it is based on sweet snacks and baked goods, which is complemented by regularly changing special offers from main dishes for a light lunch. This expectation was also met in the blueprint, whose menu was offered on this day in the sweet area, for example Mango Fresh Cheese Törtchen, Pastei de Nata or also classic chocolate cakes and rum balls in the price range of €3.58.9. As so often, my interest and appetite were in the other part of the more handy main meal offer, which at this time attracted me with a combination of homemade breads to Indian Roti Art, including salad and a curry and addressed. The guest was currently given the jelly of the choice between a peanut limes, coconut limes and orange ginger curry for €11.9 each. My order was therefore quickly clear and I was curious what my Orange Ingwer variant provided rich curry and their additions tastefully. After about 15 minutes, one of the gentlemen served me the following plates in my place. Brötchen nach Indian Roti Art mit Baby Leaf Salat. Orange ginger curry. The Roti Art bread was pleasantly warm and served with a crusty crust. The fact that it was not the well-known fladen bread is not to be complained, because it was clearly announced as a bun. The “Roti Art” should rather indicate the Indian spice of the pastry. It was not only colourful to see Asian curry wort, but also tastefully it was revealed in a great intensity. That was very good. A baby Leaf Salat sat on the plate. With a few candied peanuts, coconuts and apple chips, a matching, crunch partner was added. The crunchy leaves were made with two kinds of dressings, which however did not differ markedly from the taste, but nevertheless added a refreshing acid to the foliage overall, which made this raw food a round and pleasing thing. In a small dish filled by no means, the wonderfully tempered curry was served. However, after the first spoon of the colourful and even slightly creamy brew, the heat was obtained with a beautifully prononcated sharpness, which probably also caused the ginger. But not only that was well hit, but also the hoped fruitiness due to the advertising of the orange filled a corner of the entire flavor. For volume and fun for the chewing muscles, the varied inserts of paprika, champignons, spring onions, carrots, zucchini and nutty sesame. This light lunch really united everything that is needed for a holistic culinary delight at this level. Varied consistency, intense but not too strong wort/sharp and a round aroma. This really even exceeded my expectations and certainly cannot be found in many cafe bars. From these first impressions in the new cafebar blueprint, the following conclusion results for me. The atmospheric presentation already shows, on the one hand, a welcome looseness, but also a simultaneous sense of structuring. The service provided by the two young employees with their natural looseness and yet confusingness contributed to this ambience, which results in an inviting and positive hospitality. Finally, the daily meal I made with a noticeable freshness and balanced, but also exciting taste set the i Tüpfelchen on all gastronomic performance. The price of €11.9 was not only met with a pleasant and carefree feeling of saturation, but also with fun and surprise for the palate. It is clear that the first lines are based not only on the top location and collects its sales either with tourists handling and/or pure filling of the guests with a large beverage offer. Also culinary, you want to offer variety and quality at the same time, and you also have heart and thoughts in it, as the liqueur curry with Roti bread and salad showed me to 100. This makes the blueprint not only highly recommended for me, but also a good candidate who could build up a regular clientele among the Lübeckers and thus establish itself."
