"Oh, you won 't believe the hilarious encounter we had at this so-called purple rice and durian paradise ! We strolled in, all excited to get our hands on some exquisite purple rice with durian for dessert (or should I say, disaster? and a drink. But oh no, their top-notch technology was turned off, like, seriously? So we had to ask if they were closed, and guess what? They pointed us to the counter! How innovative!And then the real comedy show began. We dared to inquire about their drinks (because, you know, we needed something to wash down that culinary delight , and they just gave us this sassy yea, sure, we accept drinks order response. Bravo, what a customer service pro!So we reluctantly settled for the purple rice appetizer (if we can even call it that . But hold on, the guy there, Mr. Attitude Extraordinaire, decided to school us in food knowledge, as if we were clueless toddlers. He had to inform us that purple rice is NOT a drink. Well, thank you, Captain Obvious! We 're just here for a good laugh.But wait, it gets better! We wanted to see their drink menu, and the staff decided to put on a show for us. They acted all smug, like they thought we didn 't know where the menu was. Hilarious! Little did they know, their screen was still off! Surprise, surprise! It took our intervention to open their eyes to that little fact.Oh, but the entertainment didn 't end there. When we finally got home (with our questionable order , we discovered the punchline: expired durian in the purple rice! Bravo, master chefs! Who knew durians were supposed to be sour and not sweet? A revelation, indeed!What an unforgettable experience! If you ever need a good laugh or a lesson in customer service, that place is the perfect destination! Pure mockery at its finest!"

"Great experience. A week ago I visited Quincy Illinois and had an utterly pleasant dining experience at Boodalu Restaurant. Just entering a beautiful l870 's brick building with tall windows overlooking the Mississippi put me in the mood for a relaxing meal. I was not disappointed. We were comfortably seated and offered a full menu of enticing choices. One offering was 'Shrimp Your Way ' where large shrimp are prepared just as you choose. I chose fried coconut style and they were cooked to perfection-not over or under cooked. My partner chose the blue cheese topped prime rib. It was robust and satisfying. We both liked the wedge salad and the lovely wine list. Do not miss the bottle cap portraits of the dogs upstairs, they are works of art.<br/ <br/ Michael and Kathy, the owners, were there to make sure our every need was attended to. I think it is a great evening for couples or family gatherings. It would be worth driving out of our way next time we are in the area."

"Maid-Rite is my second favorite place to treat me. Their special recipe makes them the best loose meat sandwiches, hands down. Your chili dogs are dying and it is one of the few places you can get a real Malted Shake. Just remember not every Maid-Rite restaurant is the same."

"I think they may have changed their name to bright lights which is now got both a Filipino and Jamaican menu so wider diverse options. They did not shrink their menu just looks like they added Jamaican menu on to it."

"I have personally worked on this site so I know that the first hand encourages the employees to work while sick. I was called while I was sick with corona virus and the general man tried to fire me because it was against the exclamation policy. none of there is the personal correctly trained and the management is more concerned that by timer it is more than their order right or even their coffee is properly mixed. overall the personal is badly treated and the management is not bad I have suggested to literally bring their business differently everywhere"

Aka don't expect anything nouveau or out of the box, but expect all the classics to be delicious and worth it. 10/10 recommend the filet and the mashed potatoes. Very friendly service as well.
