"We went to Big Daddy’s Fish 3 times within 36 hours. Safe to say we loved it. The staff was very welcoming and this is easily the juiciest halibut we have had in a long time. The batter is crisp and the fish is soft and flakey. Coleslaw was tasty but pricey at $8. The fries, like at most fish and chips spots, were just okay and nothing to rave about. However, I could go eat that fish everyday. After the first time we did ask them to season the fish before batter. They complied and the fish got soooo much better. 5/5. Also great tarter sauce."

"First thing- book. We didn't book and ate on the lounge chairs, this was fine for us but others may not enjoy bending over to eat. The views out at dinner time, truly are blinding when you have the sun shining THROUGH the blind, the sea reflecting the sun's light and the table shining into your face while you eat. We were obviously too busy to look as we were mainly eating here, the food is very good, we had small things but they were still very good. It is very convenient for the two other resorts as it is the best, nearest restaurant. Overall the staff were extremely friendly and willing to help, the food was wonderfully presented and is very easy to get too from the beach from the other resorts."

"We had the red curry soup, lemon kospie and coffee. everything was delicious! They also have another vegan dish on the menu that we don't get. the vegan dishes are marked on the menu and all drinks can be made vegan with soy or mandel milk. the hours here are a little deceived, they are open to sunset I believe, but the kitchen is only open until 3. so after 3 they can still get coffee and cake. I would also recommend to visit the botanical gardens in front of location, really beautiful and picturesque"

"One of several coffee places in Tofino but this one really makes a good "Starbucks type" coffee, for those so inclined. (Note, I drink "swill coffee" so this is all coming from my wife, the connoisseur...).She had a mocha with something and something and pronounced the chocolate as much smoother and better than Starbucks. They use whole milk here, as opposed to 2% or other types, just FYI.We split a blueberry muffin that seemed to be spelt flour based as opposed to flaky white flour. There was a ham and cheese croissant and something else available, but nothing else in the counter at 9 am.One lady makes the coffees, one is the cashier, so it can be a wait if busy. No drive thru. We waited maybe 10 minutes on a weekday morning in June, about the usual I guess for these places. Other comments have said it can be much worse, obviously weekends or holidays would be slow.No seating inside and very limited parking. It's located just barely inside Tofino, right off the highway, across from a restaurant (Schooners).This is Tofino so accept island time and island standards, meaning local people with dogs come in, employees pet the dogs and go back to work without washing their hands with soap. Just saying..."

"Everyone was raving about the coffee, but I actually found the espresso in my large latte to be kind of watery (and expensive) We had the bro-nut (a highlight for me an unsweetened donut in place of bread made the sandwich more...interesting we also ordered the most expensive burrito/wrap, plus the hot dog, both were delicious Donuts were the cakey type, not the fluffy kind, so I would say you could probably skip the donuts if you're not into old-fashioned style/texture of donut Tip: go to their website and use their online ordering feature. Saves you standing in the lineup outside with the crowds and the rain!"
