"The Cafe de Peney is a well known and established coutryside cafe in Geneva 's area. It is important to have a differentiated menu but having snails and frog legs in the fish menu along with only 1 other fish dish doesn 't make it; For most...people it simply means no choice. So guess what, we went for the fish! a lieu jaune . We appreciated the Asian bamboo steamer presentation but it really looked like the fish and his surrounding vegetables would have enjoyed any kind of sauce (Asian soy based, Olive oil, lemon or whatever); it was just laying there, bare. Nevertheless the fish was perfectly cooked and fresh so the overall experience was ok. But we do expect much more from this place! Starters and deserts were great. Further on the bright side the staff was friendly and their wine list is well balanced and correctly priced. Cafe de Peney is a nice venue but it has not found its mojo back yet. Go back there, support them, they deserve our support!"
