"We ordered for a family get-together so 8 of us including two pescatarians, a vegetarian and two vegans. There was a good choice on the menu with something for everyone. We phoned to check whether the veg chow mein was dairy-free; they thought probably but weren't entirely sure. We ordered anyway and the food was excellent and good portions, delivered in about half an hour. Free prawn crackers."

"Visited here with family one Saturday. The decor of the restaurant is very tired and dated. We sat in the window which meant we were by the door, which wasn’t the best spot. We all went for the banquet meal. The orders were taken very properly. The starter platter was really nice. Delicious ribs, prawn toast, seaweed, chicken and spring rolls. The quantity of seaweed wasn’t enough for six people. The duck course came next which I didn’t eat but again the servings weren’t matched up for six people, the salad was tiny as was the plum sauce, not enough to feed our group and that was with one of us not having the course after all. The mains were all quite tasty and plenty of rice. We liked the lazy Susan for the table which was handy. The service was a little poor, nobody collected used glasses so we had to pile these up in the windowsill, when staff brought fresh drinks they ignored the unclear empty ones we had to ask for these to be cleared eventually. One of the draft beers went off after two drinks, this came back on shortly but the staff never mentioned this to us, they did apologise. Ordered a Chinese beer and brought the wrong one, staff member apologised again. Diet Coke was served in a can which was warm. Soft drinks quite small in size. Had an irritating loud party seated next to us which wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but it was a bit of a nuisance spoiling the atmosphere. The food was nice here but based on the service and atmosphere I wouldn’t return."

"First visit and will be back. Friendly service and good food. Belly pork bao buns to start were very tasty probably the best starter I’ve had for a very long time. For main course I had the pie with chips and mushy peas, the pie pastry was slightly dry however was filled to the brim with tender tasty meat. Nice homemade chips and well seasoned, mushy peas slightly disappointing tasted as they were from a tin. The stuffed chicken also looked nice and very well presented. The birra moretti was a good pint, however £3 for a small Diet Coke very pricey in my opinion. All in all great little village pub on the out skirts of retford, will be back soon!"

"Ordered pizza takeout, fast delivery, pizza was okay, wasn't much flavour, seasoned chips were nice, standard pizza base, was a bit tasteless, but they have cheap deals available"
