"We’d been looking forward to visiting here for ages, waiting for it for reopen. Unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. Someone came and took our drinks order and when I asked for a pint of Diet Coke, a very small glass arrived! He then took our food order and not long after that, came over and asked if we could pay our bill. Seemed a bit strange and just like we were hurried to pay before we’d even eaten. Just have bar service if you want people to pay straight away! Food was not that great. My chicken was burnt and the dirty fries/chips were bland. All went pretty cold quickly too! All in all we were just expecting a lot better. Probably won’t be in a rush to return."

"Where do I start.. Don’t get me wrong the only reason I put 4 out 5 is just a few minor details that didn’t sit right with me. Some people are probably going to give me hate for them but it’s my review so screw it. First off the food was to die for, I was feeling a little fragile and wanted to find somewhere that I could have a quick bite to eat but also feel like I wasn’t being watched by everyone. I ordered the Salmon curry dish which was immaculate and just so good I have no words for it, my partner ordered some lamb curry which he said was absolutely amazing, so I have no issues with the food. The only things that concerned me were the fact we were sat next to a double fire door which had been covered up with 1970’s diner booths making it physically impossible for you to exit if a fire were to take place, but not only that fire door was covered almost every fire door was covered which is kinda scary. The restaurant could do with a facelift, from the outside it dosent really look too good with paint and walls falling apart, walking inside it’s cold but have lovely staff, we were sat beneath the speakers so all we could hear is songs played on a loop in a different language which I couldn’t understand. I had asked if this would be on all evening but didn’t get a straight answer back. As I said there are only minor things that I’ve reviewed them 1 less of a 5, but I’d definitely be returning again there’s no doubt about that."

"Fortune Capital lifted my spirits after a dull day watching the Everton beat my belovered Bournemouth. Belovered Bournemouth no more, it's belovered Fortune Capital after that scrumptious salt n pepper chicken accompanied by a diet coke. Gordon Green, you are an utter disgrace."
