"Talking about underground nightlife scene, it doesn’t get more obscure and eccentric than Bar 77. In fact I am not even sure if the place is called Bar 77 in absence of signature, trademark, logo or any indication. We literally stood by the entrance for a few minutes unsure if it was the right place or should we venture down the dark scruffy looking staircase to the unknown. <br>

Eventually we worked up the courage, followed the dingy steps to the basement, walked pass an unmarked black door hardly visible in dim spotlight, and wa lah there it was – the main bar. It was still dark, the only source of lighting illuminated from the bar cabinets and around the main bar in dark red. It was actually quite sexy and seductive at a first glance. We couldn’t help but wondering what this place was before it was turned into a bar?<br>

The staff all looked like under age child labour. The queue was long, but the staff showed no sign of urgency but a typical teenage style of careless altitude. I was slightly agitated but didn’t want to let that spoil the night. Finally we got our drinks and everything was served in wine glasses – beer, spirits, soft drinks, water, etc! <br>

As the night went on, the music got louder and louder. The crowd filled up the small congested dancing space quickly and ended up jamming into where we were seated constantly. That’s when I knew I had enough of it. Maybe I am not down with the kids anymore, but it was a relief to be out of there.

"It'll be hard for you to find a better pizza than what Mammas delivers. Toppings are fresh and dough is authentic, slightly chewy, never too thick or thin. Everything is made to order and cooked to perfection in their wood fired oven. Secret tip: ask for a Jungle Pizza. It's off the menu. ;)Don't forget to try their unique signature dish - Penne Chicken. For you veggos out there, they do a vegetarian version, equally tasty! You won't find this dish anywhere else.Great place to come with the kids for a feed or catch up with friends over dinner and cocktails. Staff are very accommodating and always with a smile on their face."

A positive experience in Newtown is what's going on here. It's more a whole in the wall, "Coles Express" version of the beloved Diners I know, but the look and the feeling of everything is there. The homewecker Hot Dog was selected purely because I wanted to say the name, and this place is right in Oxford Street. It was good, that's safe, and the cream cheese and the chunky loads on the DAWG make that more than just a common hot dog. As for the price - not quite convinced if you compare it with other burgers with other burger, chicken waffle elements that I had in the menu. Even the curly fries are in my opinion better than this. Buddy had the Veggie Burger, who apparently has a kick, and vegetarian standards was an impressive and more than just a token offer. Grief"

"This was my first time when I returned to the owl house since my last negative review, which was definitely displaced due to the service. However, I returned here if I heard great things about the tasting with matching cries or cocktails, and I have to say ... I'm so impressed !! Grief

The outstanding dishes were the scallops, the Terrane, the lamb and the strawberries and the white chocolate dessert was only the sky !!!! I could eat the food for the rest of my life Haha <br>

Although combined with all cocktails and wine, we were undoubtedly full at the end. I loved it that you could switch between wine or cocktails on every dish, this is not very common for tastings, and there is nothing that leaves your meal with some oysters and sake! Grief

"Had the pulled pork burger... definitely a messy eat (or I just don't know how to eat burgers haha) but yummy! Other friends had others and it tasted good too! Chips are bomb!!! The seasoning for the chips were just right! And they have a cool concept with the kitchen sending the burgers in boxes down a ramp down to the counter downstairs! Definitely snap worthy!"

"Breakfast in Darlinghurst is a difficult decision, with so many choices available. We wandered around and found Darlinghurst sitting on a sunny corner beckoning us. We just had to go in. We started with our usual coffee's and soaked up the morning sun streaming in through the ornate windows. It was very relaxing and everything seemed to just feel calm and relaxed. We also used the time to study the menu and make our choices. The coffee was good too with plenty of people simply dropping by to grab a take away brew."
