"I would not normally review a fish and chip shop but even allowing for natural born whinging people, what a different experience we had to so many. I will call it as the best battered fish I have eaten and the chips were very good...too. The wait time when it was quiet was what it takes to cook fish and chips. Duh, you wait longer when it is busy. The service was fine and it was lovely to sit in the almost winter sun at the outside tables. I highly recommend fish and chips from JP McCaffreys's"

"We were in the Oporto Coogee at lunchtime last week and the place was packed! I know it’s good food so I can see why it’s a busy spot. Even being busy during the lunch rush our order was taken quickly and our food came out fast and hot. Branching out from my usual Oporto burger I tried the Aioli burger and it was good! The fries were extra crispy and I was full at the end which is always good. Restaurant was clean, service friendly and clean too which is always nice for people handling food"

"My man and I were happy to test the last Sunday carters southern barbeque. we have never had food in southern style, so we are very excited to try. from the moment when we went out into a spacious community area, we could smell some wonderful, mouthwatering quality from the smokers. mmm carnivore skymen! we started with an authentic kornbread with speck and jalapeño piece through it! I tell them it was delicious. there were also fried dill pickle pieces that were amazing. followed by smoked chicken wings, accompanied by one of the most delicate homemade diving sauce I had. it was described as 'white bbq sauce' and it was delicious on these wings! seb, the carters is, has developed its own unique sauces that accompany each different meat. there was the white bbq sauce, then there was a yellow soß that went with mouthwater pulled gay n raccoon baked baked baked, and there was also a spicy but not too spicy red soß for our discs of brisket! seb and his family have a long tradition of the south cooked think about everything and if this first pop-up restaurant is going to go by"
