"This is a lovely little café and shop, they sell great products and serve very good coffee, but do not bother with the Sunday roasts, in our experience they are very poor quality. I love my veg to be crunchy and lightly cooked, but the veg here was barely heated through and very tough, the meat was cold and bland, and the Yorkshire puds were so tough, they were almost impossible to cut, and the potatoes were dry and tough. The gravy was lovely, but had a hard job making the plate of food edible. Next time, I'd definitely stick to sandwiches or panini."

"Had lunch with 2 friends this week, lovely tasty sandwiches with salad and crisps. The cakes are a real speciality here, a fantastic selection and so good! We like the best of both offer where you can have 2 half portions if you want to taste more than one cake. Never disappoints we will be back!"

"Superb Local Pub , which is a rare thing. Little things like the meat raffle, Open the box customer reward game and very good quality beer makes this a great place. I considered if I should go after reading a few of the reviews, but the others made me think I should give it a try. I was welcomed by the staff as if I was a regular. The other customers were friendly and chatty. The beer was superb. I drink John Smiths Smooth, and I have to say that it was probably the best pint I have had in any pub in Grantham. It was also only £2.50. It was not warm as stated in one of the other reviews). As I noticed food being served, I asked for the menu. I was peckish and asked for advice. I was recommended the homemade chicken strips. These are real chicken fillet strips coated in their homemade batter. They were served with a lemon sauce which was to die for and homemade coleslaw. Once again, it is rare to find a place that actually cooks their food and does not buy it in for microwaving. Yet, my lite bite was only £3.50. I will be back and recommend that others do the same. I would like to thank Sarah who was on the bar) for her friendly and professional service and to Warren the landlord) who was cooking. Cheers Guys, I will see you again"

"Birthday dinner for my friend was great. we had to wait for one because many people tried to use the food to help you get good. there was of us, from ethnic origin and English. we felt no discrimination, and we were even made to feel very welcome. the person who served us was so accentuating. the food was great, definitely for more."

"Visiting for the first time with my elderly mother. Really enjoyed a beautiful home made soup of the day and a freshly made cheese scone. Would highly recommend, friendly service and atmosphere. "Had a late breakfast, food was incredible quality and was a reasonable time to wait. Very busy but we’re seated quickly by the door, only reason not 5 stars is because the queue for seating was literally on top of our table. Would still fully recommend!"

"My wife and I had not booked, but were quickly found a nice table by the fire, and were brought our drinks virtually immediately. The menu is not huge but sufficiently varied to accommodate most culinary foibles. They were very busy as there was a 2 for 1 lunchtime offer on mains, so we did have a slightly longer wait to be served than expected. However, the quality of both fried sea bass on squash risotto, gammon steak with chip, egg and peas was excellent and the dishes were well presented. Service throughout was prompt and friendly. Would highly recommend."

"Called in for a coffee. Ended up having a cocktail each. Espresso for hubby. Limoncello and ice cream and Prosecco for me. Had a baguette for lunch. Everything top notch. Would certainly recommend this lovely spot. Prices very reasonable. We sat at the outside patio. If you are in Stamford for a visit call in. I'm sure you won't be disappointed."
