"We arrived at 2pm for the famous seafood experience. We were quoted a one hour wait time, but were seated within 45 mins for a party of three. The ambience is amazing, with all covered outside seating in a rustic environment. It was a chilly spring day, but heaters were available to all. We ordered one of everything seafood on the menu. The grilled octopus served similar to a fajita was the highlight. Ceviches were great, as well as the crab causa. Has rating for a reason, but this is excellent Peruvian food. A must visit. And check out the pix.....look who I met and shook hands with during my Sep 23 visit."

"I worked in food service from the time I was 16 to mid college, so I get that we all have bad days on the job. However, the last experience I had at Sugar Taco left a very bad taste in my mouth. I 've dined at Sugar Taco on multiple occasions in the past and wanted to take some girlfriends here to try the delicious vegan burritos. When we walked in, there was a long line at the cashier and another employee was telling people to please sit down and order using the QR codes. No problem, we found a table in the back and did just that. Our food was eventually delivered, and everything was correct except the carne asada nachos we ordered for the table. Right off the bat, I noticed the portion seemed smaller than it has been in the past, but I didn 't think much of it. We all had a couple of bites before I realized we received regular nachos, with no protein on it. I picked up the plate and went up to the front, which was now empty (we made sure to ask when things had calmed down, to not overwhelm the staff. When I showed the employee a copy of my order and the nachos we received, there was immediate attitude in her tone: the first words out of her mouth was well... the nachos are half eaten, so I don 't really know what you want me to do about it... I can 't make you a new one at this point. I simply asked for a side of carne asada so we could at least have the protein we paid for she eventually got us a side, but I think the attitude already dampened the mood for us. I was so taken aback by the immediate accusatory tone that I didn 't have time to think about my response. I wish I had pulled out my recent photos to show her the picture I had just taken of the food as it got to the table we didn 't eat up all the carne asada on the nachos to try to scam the restaurant of another free serving!!!! I 'm assuming that 's what she was implying... Anyway, the food is usually pretty good but a lasting part of how I remember a restaurant experience is the customer service that goes along with it. It was a bummer because I 'd like to think my friends and I were very respectful the entire time we were at the restaurant if we meet you with sensitivity and kindness, I expect the same reaction back. Judging from some of the other 2 star reviews, it seems this attitude isn 't a one time occurrence, which is disheartening. Train your front of house better, please!"
