"OMG I think that's the best pastry I have eaten this year. Choux pastry with pistachio creme patissière each dollop with a sour cherry in the centre. This was not too sweet but simply delicious and melt In your mouth. My husband had a choux snowman (Christmas time) with chocolate and blood orange filling, it was delicate perfection. You are a pastry goddess!"

"Seemingly very basic and unassuming when first entering this restaurant, but service and food tell an entirely different story. Both my husband and I ad the Caesar Salad, and the braised short rib dinner. Both far more than good, the chefs at this family-owned restaurant really know what they’re doing. The salad was the best I’ve ever had. The rib dinner was beyond. Full of amazing tastes, the meal was also colourful on the plate, making you want to stop talking and just dig in. If you’re coming to Ottawa or anywhere near Wakefield, Quebec, you need to experience the magic at The Village."
