"I came here for a quick solo dinner on a weeknight. Great healthy food, nice patio space, friendly staff! Easy to cater to dietary restrictions (GF DF). The gluten free cookie was to die for!"

"The meatball shop is another New York to DC transplant. The theme, of course, is meatballs done in a variety of ways. They have appetizers, main dishes and sandwiches that they have crafted to elevate a few popular choices. You can also get your balls 'naked ' with a variety of meat and sauce options. Over several visits my husband and I have have generally taken up this latter option with classic (meat mixture) and spicy pork options with traditional sauces. We 've also had the mozarella balls, which are tasty but definitely not worth the price. Love that they put water on the table. Wish the waiters would see if you want ice. I did ask for it, but was treated as if it were a hassle. Nice beer and non-alcoholic options like lemonade (really tasty). I haven 't tried wine or cocktails. They feature ice cream sandwiches made with real cookies as a featured dessert with 3 or 4 cookie AND ice cream options. We tried the a classic choice of chocolate chip and vanilla. It was good. Decorations are cute and tasteful, but nothing special. Tables are close together. Try to get a booth if you want privacy."

"Our server clearly wasn’t up to par but she didn’t tell us she was in training until half way through our meal. She deleted my friend’s meal before it could be submitted to the kitchen and had no idea until she checked and noticed her meal was missing. Thankfully, the manager delivered her food personally."

"My family gathered for a great time in this cozy cellar lounge. I arrived early to welcome my party of 8. the host discouraged us from the sitting that the band was closest to, which caused concern that a large group could socialize more than to hear and not be aware of the 10 per person maintenance fee. I assured her that we were able to enjoy our tables for the maximum 2 hours live music and were willing to behave properly and pay all the costs. to the happiness she received the permission from the manager to put us where we wanted before my guests arrived and greeted them cordially. I didn't want them to experience the insult of the unfit to lead an evening. after that we had a great time! the cocktail menu was updated with some great selections. there are several acti cable appetizers. service was attentive and prompt. we even left a lil' sumn' extra for the waitress in addition to the 20 service fee at our schecks to for 1 guests who was not a show. I always go back to jojo for quality music, classic cocktails and cozy atmosphere."

"The smoked salmon sandwich was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and the venue had a good vibe. It cost around $12 and took about 15 minutes to prepare the order. The inside has lots of cozy seating and the patrons seemed friendly. This place is conveniently located near where I work and live and I will definitely be visiting again."

"I had a great experience here and shared the only window seat with someone. It was nice to be able to look down on P Street Northwest. The Negroni I ordered was the best I ever had. We shared a bottle of Pinot Bianco, my favorite white wine. The meal was incredible and quite filling. I was surprised. You might expect a place like this to have smaller portions. The Mixta course was a kind of scallop ceviche with dill and cilantro. Crostini with lardo and cherry tomatoes. Delicate Italian cauliflower in an anchovie olive oil sauce. The Secundi was watercress ravioli in a walnut butter sauce. I had quail wrapped in pasta, in brodo with spinach. The meat course was Dorade for me. My first experience with that fish. It was a little bit of a fishy fish if you know what I mean. My dining partner had wagyu sirloin tip. Then there was a cheese course with sour cherries, followed by dessert, a kind of rhubarb strawberry tart. Quite delicious, with homemade vanilla ice cream. I booked the place using a deposit of over $50. At the time I didn't realize that each dinner was going to cost $113. With the wine pairing, it would have been $186/person. With one bottle of wine, the cocktail, tax and gratuity, the bill was close to $400. That's a lot of simoleons for a person like me. The ambience was nice and quiet. Food quality was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to have a high level gourmet foodie type dining experience, and can afford it. I'd love to go back sometime."
