"Alex is a total sweetheart and definitely cares about his guests! I had to pull forward to wait on my food which isn’t a big deal at all! Fast food is hard and sometimes they run out of things. He was very kind when he brought out my food. Inside we’re cookies for my wait and he even brought me out a bag of sauces because I forgot to tell him what sauce I wanted! It honestly made my day! Thanks so much for being amazing!"

"Temporarily closed they say now. Shut it down for good! When it was open the food was mediocre at best. From the day this place originally opened its always been an uphill battle for them to get anything right. Heck, their location that used to be on the north side of Ankeny only lasted a few years. Now, another, car wash sits on that site. I 'm a far cry from a tree hugger, or an environmentalist, and I 've never recycled a thing in my life; but, what a waste of resources! This shows you how unorganized this restaurant chain is. They need to raze this site and put up something that will stick around. Maybe it 's finally time that Ankeny gets a Popeye 's Chicken, or a Steak 'n Shake. I 'm much less impressed with the Hardee 's name as opposed to the Carl 's Jr franchises. If you ever get a chance to try a Carl 's Jr, you 'll see what I mean. Just go a little bit east of this location and give Ben 's Burgers a try. It 's good, it 's local, and it 's open! Look them up!"

"Diana made our sandy godless today! She was the only one in there and moved as fast as possible! Seriously as sweet with the friendly customer service! some people came in and went because it was just a person who was busy, but with the time at the moment it was not her fault! very grateful that she was available to help us, and in any case think more employees should be praised for the work they do! many thanks diana!"

"The superhero cake for my nephews 3rd birthday party was beyond our expectations. We had put some superhero toys on the cake and the cake gallery came with their own decoration and WOW, it was cool! I recommend the cake gallery to everyone and will definitely use it again in the future."

"If only the customer service matched the cookies. We love the cookie cakes and ordered frequently for special occasions but too many times our order has been lost or inaccurate so we no longer order here. Such a shame because we really do like the cookies! The last time was the last straw for me. I ordered a week in advance. My husband went to pick it up and not only was it not made but they couldn?t even find my order. She offered to make it for free but I had already paid. So my husband had to go back 2 hrs later and pick it up and we never received a refund as promised. It was terribly inconvenient to return and I?m upset that we didn?t receive a refund as promised. This same scenario (minus the offer of refund) has happened 2 other times and at least 2 others I?ve been called to let me know it would be late because they didn?t notice I ordered sugar cookie instead of chocolate chip. I would have considered giving them one more chance if I?d have got the refund I was promised since we enjoy the cookies so much but now I?m done and will have to find another place to order from."

"Visited the Leaning Tower of Pizza located at Uptown Ankeny during a Farmer 's Market being held just a few blocks away. I mention this, because if you choose to visit this fine restaurant on a Saturday during the Spring Summer, be prepared, as all dining establishments can be rather crowded. We were fortunate to walk in and be seated immediately. We knew what we were going to get, so as soon as the waitress arrived, were ordered the 'Leaner ' specialty pizza (medium) and half order of onion rings. I 'm including a pic of the pizza, but forgot to take a pic of the rings, which were spectacular. Make no mistake, these are genuine rings. You 'll love them. As for the pizza, I always try to find something special I like about an entree that just about any restaurant in the city can make. Over the years of visiting Leaning Tower, I 've discovered it 's THE BEST DAMN SAUCE AROUND. No kidding ... that 's what sets it aside from other thin crust pizzas. So, give Leaning Tower at Uptown a visit, and try the rings and pizza."
