"Having enjoyed many takeaways from the Water Margin and also having eaten in the restaurant in the past, we decided to give this time to eat in the restaurant. Not having been in the restaurant for quite a while we were shocked to see that nothing had changed it was like going back in time the décor hadn’t changed at all the entire restaurant is in desperate need of a makeover/ upgrade and to make things even worse the food wasn’t what we have come to expect from the Water Margin, especially has every time we have had a takeaway delivered the food has always been of top quality. There was no atmosphere in the restaurant and very few other diners which must be sole destroying for the staff all of whom were extremely efficient and polite. The owners of the Water Margin very need to invest some time and finances to bring the restaurant back up to date and then maybe they may just see more people using the restaurant on a regular basis. Think for the moment we will be staying with the takeaway service."

"Sad went for a Sunday visit to bridlington and was surprised to see that taffy’s has now closed. the reorganization published online by the owners (sharon and chris) informed everyone that it was health problems due to chriss. I'm really sorry to see them go. we would like them a lot of luck for the future."

"This place is out of this world inside almost museum like absolutely loaded with railway memorabilia, old pictures and china but the woman who works there is so rude and ignorant that it has completely put me off going in there ever again....I've been in a few times and there's a lovely gentleman there sometimes who's really friendly and accommodating but when his partner (perhaps wife is there, the atmosphere is altogether different. She slams drinks, food and change on the counter as if she's affronted that you've asked her to serve you! fool me I've been treated like this previously and still gone back, but only in desperation after missing a train and being cold and hungry. The food is lovely and very inexpensive and I can only think that the woman is working there under duress and that it is her other half who really wanted the place, though he's rarely there now. Pity really I'd still go in if he was there but the dragon' has put me off for life and I'd rather buy an overpriced chocolate bar from the machine at the end of the platform than run the gauntlet of evil stares and surly put-downs!"
