"This is a busy location on the corner of Robie and Spring Garden in Halifax. Lunch time is usually crowded with university students. Standard Subway menu. Staff are efficient and the food is always fresh. Love the flat bread!!"

"We had read about Steve-O-Renos Huevos Rancheros which is a featured item on their online menu and their good reviews on Trip Advisor. So we made a special trip this Sunday to try them. We were told they no longer have them yet it is...still listed online. Their website has not been updated since so the prices are considerably higher, as well. I realize that keeping websites fresh and updated takes some attention but this was disappointing. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches were good but nothing extraordinary. Service was friendly but when it gets busy it can be crowded and uncomfortable."

"We had breakfast included with our room so we ate here every day. Unlike the Marriott at Niagara Falls, there was no wait here at all. The hostesses were friendly and efficient. The buffet was one the better hotel ones. It had the omelette and waffles station, many chafing dishes with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausages and two that changed each day, I know there were blintzes one day. There was a big selection of cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and very nice fresh fruit. There was toaster with bagels, English muffins, etc and some baked goods like muffins and danishes. They had nice cheese platters with some cold meats as well. But the icing on the cake - smoked salmon with all the fixings! Excellent!!! I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. We didn't have dinner here but we did stop in for dessert and tea one night. We had the Chocolate Frenzy (or something like that ) and Toffee cake. Both were OUTRAGEOUS. (See pics)"

"We have been going to this bakery every time we feel like some stuffed dough stuff. I dont know their name, but they are amazing. There are some pieces of dough with stuffing such as meat, spinach or cheese and they are so good they sell out fast in the mornings when they are fresh. For me personally, I only go there for those buns and will still do so, worth it every visit."

"Grilled cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods and having tasted so many throughout my travels, I consider myself a little bit of a aficionado. The Halifax Press ranks in my top 5 of all time. I ordered the Smoke on the Harbour and also tried the Little Italy. Nicely grilled, perfect amount of cheese (no big blobs or half-melted cheese) and quality sourdough bread. The cone shaped wrapper with the separate little pocket for the pickle to keep the juices away from the bread is also a nice touch. If I lived in Halifax, i would definitely be a regular customer.Bonus: Get the peanut butter sparkle cookies if they have them. I guarantee that it will be the best classic peanut butter cookie that you will ever have."

"Although we were there as a family, the comments are about my terrible, expensive brunch! I ordered the scramble bowl with scrambled eggs. It was a plate, not a bowl I received. The salad was fresh but the dressing was terrible! The eggs were some...of the worst looking eggs I ever saw. The bread was advertised as sourdough; they forgot to type in the word, spelt, before sourdough. The worst bread I ever tasted! The only thing so good were the fried potatoes. The reason I said so good was that they mingled with the terrible salad dressing! This is the lowest rating I ever gave any restaurant about its food!"
