"My second time coming to la baguette after having previously consumed a panini to calm my nerves pre my first tattoo. To say this is my favourite restaurant in oxford would be a massive understatement, as in fact it’s my favourite restaurant in the entire universe. The options of paninis and toasted ciabattas is excellent and the fillings are generous and tantalising. The deal for a panini, drink and packet of crisps for only £5.50 I find good, scoring a 3/4 on my personal scale. With the overal visit scoring an excellent 2.9 on willabel.com, losing out to the likes of nandos and caprinos but that is to be expected as we did drive 20 minutes and kid for parking, scoring a 1 for accessibility and sadly bringing down its score. In only a small 5 minute visit I experienced more fun, joy and emotion than any other building in oxford, and I would strongly recommend this be the first stop for all tourists as it far trumps the likes of the castle, the university or the library... where else can you enjoy a fantastic Greek sausage and mozzarella panini. Furthermore, they promoted social distancing very well and all packaging was recyclable for all your green earth nuts out there. In short, one day I wish to get married in this shop and cut into a warm panini, crack open a Fanta fruit twist and pop open a fresh bag of Cheetos with my life partner. "Such a gem of a place. Straightforward food, clean, prompt service, reasonably priced and with friendly and attentive staff. The home made cakes and pastries are also excellent especially the apple pie."

"I live in Melbourne, Australia (the third biggest Greek city in the world! so eat a lot of Greek food. Meli is simply the best... fresh and tasty, delicious well presented food presented with great service and atmosphere, sums it up. The spanakopita and moussaka are to die for and the Greek and Mediterranean salads fantastic. If you can fit it in, try the excellent range of deserts including a mind blowing semolina ravani cake. I've often taken home a selection of beautiful dips, including spicy houmus, red pepper, aubergine etc.The olives are fresh and crunchy and as good as any I've eaten anywhere in Greece and come in a good range. The Meli roasted organic coffee makes the best coffee in Oxford... and on top of that there are Greek beers and a particularly good red wine.Though small in size Meli punches well above its weight. Sounds like I'm a fan... all can say is that when I'm in Oxford I eat there several times a week, and always look forward to my next visit!"

"Manager unwilling to serve me coffee (to go) with perfectly behaved dogs on the lead. Was unaware this was the policy and had previously been served in Taylors without issue. Disappointing but happily there are many other coffee shops in Oxford!"

"Brothers has been an important part of the Covered Market for many years and a place I return to often my go/to for breakfast in Oxford. More recently been bringing groups of friends and it has quickly become a fast favourite for a lot of them, too. There is a lot to choose from food wise and everything I’ve had has been excellent a mix of English breakfast food and Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. They are extremely welcoming and friendly and go to great lengths to make customers happy. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Great coffee, decor and nice when quiet or busy. Highly recommend the souvlaki spanakopita!"
