"Been going here since in was 7 years old with my parents. Best coffee in town <3. I see a lot of complaints on here about how this place only serves an “affluent community” that’s not true, the staff is always nice and welcoming to everyone. but the menu is plain and clear. If you wanna complain about the lattes being 6$, maybe don’t stop by. Like I said BEST COFFEE IN TOWN. So I’m willing to pay the price. Alfred has nothing on caffe luxxe. That is all."

"Bake and Bake tea garden is the best thing that has come in years to montana ave! I have visited almost weekly now and made myself through tasting their delicious tees my favs are the signature black and rooibos. they have this cool machine called teapresso that brews in the perfect tempo! I also love the individual French press tea service and the spinat empanadas. the team always smiles and it really feels like the spot of grace!"

"Came here after an event for one of my sons. Which we were visiting from out of town.I came in and greeted the young Hispanic gal that was working. She was helping another customer when I was going to comment how beautiful she was but I didn 't want to interrupt lol. As She finished helping the other customer and began to assist me (Pacific Islander decent), my husband (African American) my son who is mixed with both. I began talking with the young lady and asked her questions regarding flavors and items. I noticed she was super short with us and very monotone but I chucked it off as maybe a she was having a bad day so I was even more nice. Being that I worked retail in my younger days, I can understand when sometimes workers behind the counter need an extra smile to know it 's o.k. Her demeanor never changed with us even though I tried to be more nice to brighten up her day. In fact she seemed more irritated and rude.Once we paid, my family and I ended up staying inside to eat our gelato. As other customers started trickling in, my husband and I noticed that the worker was being super helpful and nice greeting the other customers(white customers) coming in at different times as we ate our gelato. With an exception to another Asian lady that came in, which the worker changed back to speaking short and monotone with that Asian lady. My husband son made a comment to me after observing this worker on how she was treating the white customers non white customers. I was like Wow this worker is darker than me and she has the audacity to treat me like some trash .Very disheartening to be visiting in an area that 's so diverse and treated as if we were living in the 1950 's in Alabama. Get better workers! I mean I can get gelato anywhere!"

"If you know me, you know I am obsessed with Pie Hole. There was a point I visited the Arts District location every few days not the smartest or healthiest decision on my part but still well worth it. I visited this location for the first time to pick up a Honey Custard Pie, and didn't realize it was inside a Gelson's! So cute and convenient. This grocery store is by far one of the nicest I have visited in a long time, so it's very fitting that there's a Pie Hole stationed here. They have lots of packed grab and go offerings like various slices and their pie holes, but I can't imagine they're as fresh as the ones made at their busier shop locations, especially since many are pre packaged. But I can tell you with confidence that the Honey Custard Pie did not disappoint! I think this location is pretty new, so it seemed fairly empty on a Saturday afternoon, but I can imagine that this shop might gain traction soon."

"I sent my son to this Subway and they just left him standing there for 10 minutes without helping him. I understand that things need to be kept clean, but it was completely rude to not help the single person waiting. That person needs to be helped, and THEN the station needs to be cleaned. It doesn't take every person to stop everything and not help the customers that were waiting. It took his entire lunch and we are NOT HAPPY!!! :"

"I had ice cream at this place over the weekend and got food poisoning. I went out with my friend earlier that day, and we both had the same exact food minus the ice cream. He was fine but I woke up in the middle of the night with stomach pain and an upset stomach (never happens to me after eating ice cream). It's day 2 and my stomach is still not better. Be careful with this place."
