"My husband and I travel for food, we have eaten in Odette, Burnt Ends, Don Julio, Zen, Gaggan to name some around the world. In 1884 was high on our list, so when we chose our honeymoon, this was a mandatory stop. Such a disappointment! Cold bread was served without oil or butter, the service was moderate, made a reservation inside but was shown sitting outside, set menu price was on our visit to the day before, it was 15% cheaper than per our waitress. But this was not communicated at all, simply on our bill without talking. When asked that inflation in Argentina is in the river, what we understand, but for a restaurant of this standard, maybe they could report to us on the day or day before the “current menu prices” and if we still confirm our reservation. Food was good, and we could taste his caliber and his creativity. But for this price do not meet expectations, go to La Azul or Martino Winery, for 1/4 included the price for better food / ambience paired wines unlike 1884.
