"Beautiful meal in beautiful surroundings. Eating very typical of the area (except a full pulp (Octopus menu! but served with attention and care. Homemade cakes are available and the food was great. Enjoy our visit and return when in the park."

"Hallo zusammen , Ich bin immer wieder mal im Mellis um Mittags schnell und preiswert zu essen und/oder mit der Familie zusammen am Abend. Ich muss sagen , dass das essen wirklich sehr gut schmeckt . Die Karte beinhaltet was für jedermann . Besonders das Cordon Bleu, welches wie alle anderen Gerichte frisch zubereitet wird, schmeckt sehr gut. Meine Frau bevorzugt die leckeren Pizzen mit besonders schönem dünnen Teig . @random123 Ich gehe jetzt schon länger ins Mellis ein und aus - ich habe selbst gesehen wie die Waren wie z.B Fleisch beim Regionalen Metzger eingekauft wurden . Selbst wenn ihre Bewertung stimmt ( Was ich wirklich sehr sehr sehr bezweifle ) . Die "Billig-Aldi" Produkte von denen sie erzählen könnten bestimmt auf Sachen wie Milch und Butter hindeuten . Aber jetzt mal in allem ernst wer macht das nicht ? Und die Preise sind alles andere als Überzogen und das Restaurant als große Abzocke zu betiteln ist ebenso eine Frechheit. Die Besitzer kümmern sich wirklich um alles um das beste für ihre Gäste zu bieten. Bitte mehr Respekt dafür. Liebe Grüße - Allschwiler Karl"

"The restaurant is grounded and without firlefanz. It's got a lot of regular customers talking. The menu has a good selection of mainly regional dishes. Rösti and Feldsalat were particularly good. It is worth coming here!"

"Das Lokal liegt sehr zentral im Herzen von Lörrach und ist optisch recht ansprechend. Moderne Elemente wechseln sich mit Backsteinmauern ab. Ein gemischtes Publikum füllt den Raum sicherlich allabendlich. Daher ist es relativ laut und es herrscht ein emsiger Betrieb. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und preislich fair. Das Essen war geschmacklich wie auch für das Auge sehr gut. Das nette und flinke Personal hatte jederzeit den Überblick."

"It was Thanksgiving Day and this was my choice for taking the in-laws out that evening. I have been here before and really enjoyed it, but I think it now has different owners. The decor inside has been modernized to look a bit more hip, but is not overly trendy or confusing. The service was very attentive and they carry Maizels Hefeweizen. Quality! Since turkey was not on the menu, I decided to go with the schnitzel from locally sourced veal and my wife had the gnocchi in sage butter. Both were delicious! They gave us a complimentary trout mousse as an amuse bouch. Very tasty! It was a fantastic meal and the service was friendly and helpful. Although the atmosphere is a bit more upscale, it is not stuffy or overly formal. A terrific place for a nice meal with family or for a romantic dinner."
