"We went to the landmark restaurant of Pete and Shorty’s for lunch while visiting family and was surprised how good it is. I had the Loose-Meat Pete* Ground beef is crumbled, steamed, and seasoned to perfection, then served mopped on a bun. This sandwich is really good! Mopped on a bun means: M ustard, O nion, P ickle The price was a mere $4 and was filling enough – My husband had the BC Burger which is a traditional burger with Bacon and Cheddar, made from 100% Ground Chuck, it looked and smelled delicious. Other items of note from their menu include their Pork Wings, which is their take on the chicken classic using a pork on the bone from the heart of the shank. They also have daily specials, and two happy hours. The ambiance is a laid back bar scene. If you ever find yourself in Clearwater – try it out, its worth it."
