"We've dedicated ourselves to Valentine's Day. When you enter, notice all stained glass and pressed metal blankets. Has a New Orleans feeling with Texas hospitality. You also notice the help sought sign! The menu was simple and the staff was very friendly and dedicated. Prices corresponded to other restaurants in the area. You have a variety of drinks. The whisky egg was a little sweet and the Cabernet was okay. I owe this to a small town restaurant with a need for a bartender, as in her help wanted to notice sign. The fried mushrooms came out hot and were quite delicious. They're not really spicy what I prefer to dive. I ordered ribs and after 10 minutes I was told they were made of ribs. The salads are fresh and cut for food. I got my cats with two sides. The lemon pepper on the corn was strange choice for me, but good. The loaded potatoes looked good, but we are not very tasteful. The catfish was excessively salty, but it is better with tartaric acid or cocktail sauce. Overall, a country diner feels complete with amazing employees."

"Service was great. Clean restaurant. Food was awesome! Thank you!!Not able to eat on this visit. My husband is having dental work done and requires grilled fish, it's all he can chew. Today the grill was out of order... man, I sure did need a Seafood Platter today..."

"This was our first time eating at Captain D's, and it was a great experience.PROS: There were only 3 people on staff, But they were exceedingly helpful and helped us decide on our meals. These are probably some of the most friendly, and proffessional young adults we've seen in a long time.The jalapeno poppers were awesome, the battered fish was good, as was the salmon and baked potato.CONS: the only real downsides were the corn on the cob (kind of hard to not overcook corn on the cob, in a fast food restaurant) it was mushy. The hush puppies were OK and the chicken tenders were dry (which one of the cooks noticed, and replaced, without us even mentioning it).Secondly, the men's restroom was out of order and the remaining ladies restroom was a bit dirty (no hand towels in the dispenser, just a roll placed on the back of the toilet!)OVERALL : Most of the food was good and we can steer clear of what we didn't prefer. In the end, it was the friendly, and professional, staff that makes this a stand out place. Well done!"
