"Tasty fish, highly recommended. Extremely slow service without a smile. Had to see ourselves to a table as the waiter/owner didn't acknowledge our arrival. Then it took five minutes for him to finally approach us. It seemed very evident that the staff highly favoured the locals who seem to use the restaurant as a social venue in which to loudly to watch football with beers. Tourists are left to ask for attention five times before getting a response. Very awkward."

"It is recommended by the apartment's owner and its only 100 metre away from where we stay so we decided to give a try despite that we had read the mixed reviews. We had seafood rice (our favourite Portuguese seafood dish) and our son has ordered steak on the stone. It should call selfish rice because there had no fish used at all. The rice was under cooked and the prawns was over cooked so the both tasted hard and the flavour was very bland. We had this dish a few times in the past and this was the worst version we ever had. On the other hands, the steak looked and tasted nice. The wine is more expensive than other places as well. A bottle of vino verde we have paid 14.50 Euros cost 3.50 Euros in a grocery shop 3 doors down. The waiter has asked my son if he would like some chips, salad or rice with the steak and we didn't expect to paid another extra 7 euros for the chips & salad on the side of a 16.50 Euros steak. It was definitely over charged for what we had. Although my son enjoyed the steak but it was a quite disappointing experience for us over all. Will we go back again? No. We have been to many good restaurants in Maderia. This is not the one we'll rush back anytime soon."
